A few weeks later.....

Reese sat in the family room watching their 70" television as his two daughters played in front of him. His wife finally decided to go back to work. She had been keeping a tight eye on him. So tight of an eye that, she put in vacation time just to sit at the house with him.

She watched for any kind of emotion or anything from her husband to display its self to her. As she thought about the situation, she interrogated and questioned everything he said to her. Something wasn't sitting right with her, but she couldn't put a nail on what exactly was bothering her. So she watched. Reese seemed pretty collect for the most part but she knew he would be on his p's and q's if all else failed.

Deep down, it was willingly eating Reese up. He knew his decisions were poor, but he needed to save his ass. Pulling on his chin hair, he contemplated going over there. He knew the girls had strict instructions to report to mommy everywhere they would've went. So he sat, looking at his phone. He couldn't text her due to him getting a new phone and not knowing her number. He truly could only think of popping up.

Would she want to see him was his burning question? What would he say to her? Out of all his times of rehearsing what to say, he never went any further than what he would tell Nicole. Whatever it was had to be a lie. Maybe it would be she threatened to take his kids if he didn't bring her over there. It wasn't a lie but that wasn't the particular case.

He couldn't admit that he had hyped their situation up to convince his wife that he was innocent. He hadn't thought about taking Niq to a fake address until after the fact. He knew what his wife was capable of, but he expected Egypt to take caution to his text.

What's even crazier about the situation was he was missing Egypt and her sex. He missed her scent and the way her eyes shined brighter whenever he was around her. She never deserved the situation she was put in. He had been the aggressor the entire time even up to the very moment he had pursued Egypt.

He led her own telling her he was a single man. It was up until the middle of their affair that she was to find out he was married. He had a common excuse. It being they were in the process of separation. Even after those 4 years, it never happened and by now she knew it wouldn't. Yet she stayed because she loved him.

He did believe that he had to make this up to her some way. He'd plan to go to her house. He figured a little catering to and head giving would solve the situation. With Egypt, he knew he was her weakness, and he knew that once he released his toxicity she would be right back kissing the ground he walked on. But for now, he had to play his role in being cool, calm, and collect for the sake of his wife's sanity. Everything was bound to work out in his favor.

....

Meanwhile, Egypt had been discharged from the hospital two days ago. Though her body was healing, it was still hurting. She didn't have any broken bones, but her ribcage was bruised. The swelling in her face was going down, but she still had bruises and blemishes. Hershey and her mother hadn't left her side. She still however was very distant due to fear of letting every bit of hurt and anger out.

She needed to feel the pain. It would only remind her of her anger and what was owed to Reese. Due to her frightened mother, she was out of her two story home. She rented Egypt a condo on the other side of town. Egypt didn't protest just because she knew Reese was bound to come popping up.
