It was a nice holiday and Rain, after much thought, decided to go to their parent's place for the holidays. Their parents had no idea about his prefered name or pronouns and they were really scared of how they would react.
Either way, they approached the door and walked in, seeing their family at the table. "Oh! It's so nice to see you Rain! How have you been?" Rain was in shock. How did they know? Why did they not care? Not that they were complaining, they were just confused and shocked. After their mom's welcome, their dad came up. "Hey, Uncle Terry, heard they're doing a lot for the emperor?"
"Excuse me, but, how did you know I liked the name Rain?" They all laughed. "Rain, did you forget that you're a coven head and your prefered name is plastered everywhere?" Rain got red, but started to laugh. "I wish you told us sooner, we would have helped with the name changing costs!"
Rain felt loved. They didn't think that their family would be that okay with this, but they were grateful. They just grabbed their mom, and hugged her tight, not wanting to ever let go of her love agian.
