It was just another day of your mom and dad fighting over the smallest matter possible. You were used to it to be honest. You simply locked your bedroom door and listened to some nice music and started to read a nice book.
You tried your very best to ignore all the yelling and screaming outside but you couldn't so you decided to stopped doing everything and went out for a little walk.
"Where do you think you're going Miss Y/n?!", said your father in anger.
"A walk", you said with no emotions.
"You aren't going anywhere-" you cut off your father by going out and slamming the door shut.
You were walking outside when it started to rain. You quickly ran back home and took a nice hot shower.
Your parents were yet again sleeping in different rooms. You just went back in your room and slept.
The next morning you woke up to your mom and dad both sitting in different corners in the living room. "Morning" you said in your sleepy morning tone. "Dear, we have something to tell you" your mom said in a serious tone.
"Spill it" you said yawning while fixing your hair.
"Your father and I are getting a divorce..." you mother said while looking at you.
"W-what?" you said stuttering. You were shocked as they normally just fought and would apologise to each other the next day this was the first time they've ever said the word divorce.
"We've made the decision and now you're gonna have to choose between me and your mom" you dad says not even looking at your mother.
"How? I love you both equally you can't expect me to choose between you two... I just- I can't" you said while holding back your tears.
"Well you're gonna have to" you dad said and sighed.
"It isn't fair! You two made the decision without thinking about how I feel can't you two be grown adults and just apologise to each other like how you guys did before?" you said looking at your mom and dad.
"Not this time honey" said your mom looking tired
"We've decided to do this for all of our good, your father has a new woman in his life and I'm physically and mentally tired of being in a relationship with somebody who doesn't even love me, I can't be selfish so we thought about it and divorce is the only answer" your mom added.
You couldn't hold back your tears anymore and burst out crying. You made the most hardest decision and chose to follow your mom. You said your last goodbyes to your father and watched as he disappeared from your sight.
