The teenager continued to remain silent for a while, until it was like she came to her senses and wrapped the little boy in a hug. It being a little difficult because of her cast but they made it work.

The memories from that night came flooding back for the teenager.

The two foster Children had waited up all night, happy that it was finally summerbreak. The younger boy Isaac now being five couldn't really understand how he had became so lucky to get a foster sister like Casey. Both of them had an amazing bond, mostly because how bad the foster parents were treating them. The day after school had ended was the day Everything had escalated.

The twelve year old girl had been working on her art Project, having Isaac right next to her since the foster paretns were having a fight. Casey felt like she needed to protect the younger boy so that's exactly what she tried to do.

"Get down here!" Hank yelled from downstairs.

the soon to be teenager took the Little boys hand in her's as they made their way downstairs. The first thing she noticed was the two women sitting on the couch, she had never seen them Before so it made her suspicious.

"Listen to them" Hank told them sternly.

both of the kids listened immediately, standing in front of the two women.

"We have found a safer home for Casey here, we are taking you with us today to your new home" the brunette woman spoke.

"No, please. You can't leave Isaac here" Casey pleaded.

she caught on to the stern look that Hank was giving her, she understood that there was no use in trying to make them change their minds.

The last thing she saw was the tears from the Little boy, it hurt her since she knew that he wouldn't be safe without her.

Bringing herself out of her thoughts, the teenager wiped her eyes and kept the little boy's head close to her chest as they continued to hug each other.

[Casey's POV]

"Casey's hurt?" Isaac asked me, pointing at my cast.

"A little bit yes, but I'll be alright. The important question is if you are alright, how did you end up here?" I asked him, taking him over to Maya's bunk.

"Hank left me here, couldn't take care of me more" he replied, leaning his head against my shoulder.

"Did he hurt you?" I asked quietly, noticing that three adults were now having a different conversation so they wouldn't over hear us.

"Here" he pointed at his stomach.

"He hurt you there?" I asked, wanting to be sure of what he was saying.

I nodded, leaning over so I could gently lift his shirt up to see if there was any signs of that he had been hit.

I sighed, seeing the marks on his back, the ones on his stomach had slightly faded so they were barely visible.

"Casey keep me safe now" he said, looking up at me with his bright green eyes.

"Of course, I'll keep you safe buddy" I promised him, ruffling his hair.

The conversations between my moms and Andy soon ended and they turned towards me, watching as I kept a secure grip around Isaac to make him feel safe.

"We've come up with a plan, Isaac can come home with us for tonight and tomorrow morning we will have to call CPS" Mom said, looking at my mama for reassurance.

"Is that okay with you, Isaac?" Mama asked him, crouching down to his height so he wouldn't think of her as that frightening.

He looked up at me before he nodded and looked over at Carina slightly.

"Good, now shall we get home"

I grabbed my crutches, trying to get to the car while Isaac walked close to me. Not daring to leave my side.

"Damn it, Carina we don't have a car seat" Mom cursed.

"He can sit in the back with me" I offered.

"I'll drive slow" Mama nodded, helping Isaac get buckled in before she sat down in the drivers seat so she could drive us home.

"Staying with you?" He asked, holding my hand in his.

"Yeah buddy, you're going to stay right here with me" I reassured him.

[Carina's POV]

As soon as we got home I helped Casey get up the stairs and in to her room, seeing that Isaac followed us in to her room and laid down next to her.

"Would you like something to eat or drink?" I asked him.

"No thank you" he replied, offering a small smile.

"Alright, Maya and I are just down the hall if you need anything" I told him.

After seeing him nod I made my way in to our bedroom, seeing Maya fiddle with her hands.

"What is it, Tesoro" I asked.

"He's so attached to her, what are we going to do?" She asked.

"Well, we will need to call the social worker tomorrow and let them know that he stayed with us for the night and then they will figure something out for him" I said.

"She's going to be so upset if he gets taken away again, can't we keep him here for a little longer?" She asked.

"You mean we should foster him?" I asked, not understanding what she meant.

"I mean yeah, we want to foster another kid and he already knows Casey. Both of them have lived together before so they already so close" she said.

"Are you ready to foster another child again? We don't know anything about his past nor if we are able to take him in" I said.

"I'm ready if you are, how about we talk to Isaac and the social worker tomorrow to see if we can find out something about him. She might be able to give us some information and also tell us if we can take him in" she replied.

"Let's go with that plan" I nodded.

It didn't take long before we fell asleep. Waking up the next morning to the sound of the alarm clock. I reached to turn it off, seeing little Isaac standing by the doorway when I turned around.

"Hi there, are you alright?" I asked, gesturing for him to come inside the room.

"Yeah, Casey sleeping" he said quietly, aware of that Carina was sleeping right next to me.

"Do you want help with that?" I asked, seeing that he was trying to button his pants.

It took a while before he answered, slowly he nodded for me to help him.

"There you go"

"Thank you Maya" he said, giving me a tiny smile before he ran back to Casey's room.
