Chapter 9

Monoma's POV
After 2 days of getting used to everything at the foster care place, I was exhausted. Everything about those days was hell. Going to my former house to grab my stuff and having to listen to my parents yell at the caseworker about taking me away? Hell. The other foster kids at the place almost immediately finding out I'm trans and saying transphobic shit? Hell! Not being able to cuddle with Eijirou after so many fucking panic attacks?! Fucking! HELL!!

But now.. I'm finally able to go back to UA. I don't want to be in that foster place anymore but I don't have a choice.

As I walked through the halls of UA, I saw the familiar fluff of red hair. I smiled and snuck over behind him. I noticed it was only him and Bakugou. Bakugou noticed me and was about to say something but I quickly shook my head and put a finger against my lips to say "don't tell him". He understood and stopped himself from telling him I'm here. As soon as I got to him I reached my arms over his shoulders and wrapped them around his neck in a hug
Me: miss me, baby?~
He turned his head quickly and yelled in happiness before he turned his whole body and picked me up in a tight embrace
Eiji: NEITO!!!
I laughed loudly at his reaction. He then quickly put me down in fear of my binder being too tight from his tight hold. I quickly reassured him that i wasn't wearing one today since I was gonna have to get new ones as my old ones were getting tight more earlier now. He continued to hug me whilst we were talking to Bakugou up until the bell had rung. We kissed for a minute before pulling away and rushing to our classes. I walked into 1B and was immediately met with a concerned purple head
Shinsou: Monoma! Are you okay?!
I squealed in surprise at his sudden appearance
Me: I'm fine, Shinsou. Just a rough couple of days trying to get used to some big changes in my life now.
He exhaled a deep breath then nodded before heading to his desk. I headed towards my own then sat down. I got my stuff out and listened to the lecture from Vlad.

After class

Vlad: -and don't forget, we've got training with 1A in 3 days. Get training so you can manage to pass them one day.
We all nod.
Vlad: class dismissed.
We all got up and packed our stuff. I was about to walk out before Vlad called for me. I told Shinsou to go ahead then walked over to my teacher.
Me: everything okay..?
He looked at me
Vlad: I should be asking you that.
I furrowed my eyebrows
Me: what do you mean?
He sighed
Vlad: you spaced many times during the lesson today. Is everything going okay at that foster care group?
I looked down, feeling ashamed of myself for spacing out. I felt Vlad's hand land on my shoulder and looked back up at him.
Vlad: kid, if something's going on then tell me.. I want to be able to help
I hesitated for a moment before I let myself speak the first thing that came to mind
Me: I'm Transgender...
There was silence for a minute
Vlad: and that's a problem because..?
I chuckled a bit at that
Me: because the other kids at the foster group found out immediately after I settled in and started saying transphobic shit... I've had more panic attacks in those few days than I've ever had in the last 16 years of my life..
There was another moment of silence before I suddenly heard knuckles crack. I looked down to see Vlad's fist now closed and tense. Like he was ready to hurt someone..
Vlad: I'm gonna talk to those bastards..
I quickly reacted
Me: no no no it's okay! I'll get used to it!
He shook his head
Vlad: you shouldn't have to, Monoma..! Not like this... and certainly not this young...
I stayed silent after that
Vlad: after school. Today. I'm driving you back there and I'm talking to those people. Got it?
I sighed in defeat then nodded my head
Vlad: good.
He dropped his hand from my shoulder
Vlad: I'll see you after school then.
I nod again then start to walk out
Me: see you after school, Sensei...
I then leave and make way to my next class

After school ends

I wait by the gates of UA for Vlad-Sensei to show up. I was starting to get bored and sighed deeply before I saw him finally coming towards me out the corner of my eye. Once he gets to me he gestured towards his car then starts walking as I follow behind.

When they arrive

We walk into the foster care group and are immediately with those kids saying the same things they've said to me everyday
Other kids: hey, look! It's her!/what's up tranny/tranny freak!/ugh... get some proper clothes on, woman
Vlad then finally made himself know behind me and they all went silent. They looked at him with amazement at the fact a pro hero is here
Vlad: where's the carer in charge here?
They all point to the door she's behind and he tells me to follow as he walks towards it. I quickly follow. He knocks on the door and it quickly opens.
Carer: hello there! Monoma, is he a friend of yours?
I nod
Vlad: I'm his teacher at UA. I've got something to speak with you about in regards to other kids behaviour towards Monoma.
She tilts her head in confusion
Carer: of course.. come in
We both walk in after she gestured us to before she closes the door. Once we're all sat down, Vlad begins speaking.
Vlad: it was brought to my attention that the other kids here have not been treating Monoma well due to him being transgender.
She was silent for a minute
Carer: ..they have?
He nods. She then looks to me
Carer: but you said they've been nice...
I look down in shame
Me: I didn't want to worry you..
She sighs
Carer: I get that but it's my job to make sure you feel safe.. all of you.
I keep looking down as I stay silent
Carer: I'm afraid there's not much I can do.. I could arrange for him to be sent to another care group but other than that.. no one's applied to foster him so there's not-
He suddenly cut her off
Vlad: now there is.
I looked up at him with my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Carer: w-.. what..?
He clears his throat then takes a deep breath

Vlad: where do I apply to foster Neito Monoma?
