chapter 23

yuki POV

me and rin stayed in the library until the bell went off indicating that school had officially started. Rin helped me pack all my things into my bag and i closed my bag and swung it over my shoulder.

Me and rin walked down the hallway and we stopped at our lockers. I opened mine and put my books in there. "we have to go to the principal office" rin said and i sighed and i closed my locker and we walked to the principal office.

When we got there we knocked on the door and we heard the principal say "come in" we entered and he looked at us and he stood up from his chair and walked over to us and said "welcome back boys, as i said the day before you were suspended i said that you had to clean the school" me and rin both sighed as the principal grabbed a litter grabber and a bin bag along with 2 high vis.

"here put this on and you two have to clean the outside of the school, the playground and the inside of the school" he said and me and rin looked at each other and then we turned back around and nodded. He smiled and handed us the jackets and we put them on and he handed us the other things.

me and rin walked around school and whilst doing so we were talking about some things "what did your mum do" i ask and rin sighed and said "she told me that you are a bad influence, im guessing our parents have the same thoughts about us then, and that i should find some new friends which im not going to do because im socially awkward" i laughed at that and said "well im guessing its just going to be us for the rest of our lives then" rin smiled at me and i noticed a small red tinge at the tip of his ears.

when it got to lunch we were able to have a break so we took our jacket thing off and we put it on our table and we got our food. after buying our food we sat down and and started eating.

after eating we continued our little job and when it was finished we had like 30 minutes till the end of school so we went to the principals office and handed him the litter pickers and the high vis and he asked us "did you do everything i asked you to do" we both nodded and the principal said "ok, you can go home since you finished early" me and rin both left and we decided to go to the park.

we sat on the swings slowly swinging on them "what are we going to do" i ask looking at rin and he looked at me and said "i guess we have to talk at school and we could sneak out at night but thats probably too risky" i nodded my face dropping slightly and rin must have noticed because he said "hey dont get your hopes up we might be able to speak to our parents about this and they just might have been angry when they said it" i nod and i took my phone out my pocket and see that school has just ended and i have to leave.

i turned to rin and said "i have to go because mum said i have to go home as soon as school finishes" rin nods and we both stand up and i grab my bag an di was about to leave but i was pushed to the floor by rin since he trapped me in a hug, i wrap my arm around him and i heard his whisper really quiet " love you" i smile and we release each other and he helps me up and we smile at each other and we started walking in the opposite direction.

as i was walking home i pull my necklace out from under my shirt and i stare at the silver chain with the promise ring on it.

my eyes widen with realization and i drop the necklace letting it hit my chest 'im in love with rin' i thought to myself and i smiled tucking the necklace back under my shirt and i continued to walk back home
