Last night, I couldn't sleep as I expected; my nightmares attacked again without any warning. I cast a spell to assist me with my dreams, but it didn't help at all. My brother's freedom is haunting me; after all, I can feel the sorrow he endures while staying inside a prison. However, I didn't mention anything to Doyoung since he tends to worry about it too much. Instead, I asked him to come with me to the cafeteria; after a heavy load of chores, I wanted to stay calm and enjoy the break we had before our next lesson.
Currently, I'm sitting down in front of Doyoung while resting my head on the table. My friend constantly glanced at me even though he took his book out. Doyoung looked worried, and I could tell what he thought whenever he stared my way.
-You worry too much; do you know that? – I questioned while keeping my head above my arms.
-Indeed. But you look sleepier than usual, so you should understand my position. – Doyoung pointed out, which I nodded for in response, not caring about my friend's worried words. -Jungwoo, I'm serious; what happened to you? Did Taeyong do something to you? – Doyoung asked, concerned.
I lifted my head and looked at Doyoung, confused. Then, I shook my head and laid my head down once again.
-Taeyong was the best part of my day; how could you suppose such a thing? – I questioned, slightly annoyed.
-Tell me why, and I will stop arguing against him. – Doyoung said, causing me to look at him, but I didn't raise my head; instead, I continued to rest it on my arms, down on the table.
-Taeyong is now our ally. He honestly wants to discover the truth behind Adam Young's murder, and he believes in my brother's innocence. – I explained, causing Doyoung to look at me, surprised.
-Wow! So, Taeyong is now part of the plan? – Doyoung asked, which I nodded for in response. Briefly, I closed my eyes and released a long sigh, but I suddenly felt another presence, causing me to look to my side.
Taeyong is standing there with his friends, Jaehyun and Mark. The three of them are looking at Doyoung and glancing back at me. I didn't understand what was happening, but Taeyong noticed my confusion right away.
-Jungwoo, I want you to meet Jaehyun and Mark. You already saw them around the institute with me; therefore, you must know what they mean to me. – Taeyong mentioned. After hearing his words, I nodded and finally raised my head, returning to my usual posture. Then, I politely bowed at them alongside Doyoung.
-Taeyong, are you sure you want to make our alliance public? – I questioned, talking low but still clear.
-Yes, I am sure. – Taeyong answered, and as I stared at his eyes, I could see the sincerity behind his actions. So, I let out a short sigh before inviting his friends to sit with us.
