The way I met him wasn't truly what people would call "Honorable." I knew that though and truthfully, I didn't care. I met him online, swiping left and right through profiles of men wondering if anything would actually come of it; anything meaningful anyways. I had been searching and swiping for a few days when I saw him. He was handsome and I doubted anything would come from this particular situation. He had hair that was dark brown and pushed back, beautiful bluish-green eyes, and wore a blue button up shirt. To me he was so handsome and I never thought I stood a chance. Later I would find out I stood more of a chance than many girls I would compare myself to now. I studied his picture for a few minutes eyeing his sharp jaw line and bright white teeth when he smiled. After analyzing it for a moment, I swiped right. After that, I swiped through a few more profiles and jumped off the app. I waited with anticipation hoping my phone would buzz and alert me to the match. My impatience grew for hours before the familiar buzz of my phone drew my attention. It was him. We messaged back and forth on the app before we exchanged phone numbers. After that we agreed to meet at a local restaurant in a week.
...
The day of the date I stressed and stressed. I didn't know what to wear and I worried about my makeup. I didn't want to look made up but didn't want to look like I didn't care. For my outfit, I decided on a black shirt with a V-neck cut and a pair of ripped skinny jeans. I wore my long blonde hair down and let the waves flutter loosely around my shoulders. For my shoes I wore a pair of brown boots and finished the look with a small necklace with a heart. Finally finishing; the clock neared a quarter after eleven and it was time to get in my car. My hands shook on the wheel as I headed on my way. I listened to some music to hopefully help soothe my nerves and boost my confidence. When I finally made it to the restaurant I checked my phone and messaged him saying I was there. After that I asked where he was as I stepped out of my car and then it hit me. The beautiful man I had been overloaded on nerves to meet was right in front of me. He was so much more handsome in person. I couldn't believe it was him and he actually looked like his picture. He had his hair done and wore a red collared shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans. I shook his hand making sure to give him a firm hand shake; which I could see from the look on his face took him by surprise. After that, we started talking and walked into the restaurant. I ordered a chicken club with fries and he ordered a burger with fries as well. We talked about many things during our lunch including some of our bad date stories, what our plans for our futures were as well as our current occupations, and our pets. We both said how we loved animals and the outdoors. After our date, I even showed him around town and took him to an event he was looking for in the area. Although I was supposed to leave after our date and head home, I ended up spending the entire day and evening with him before heading home when he did later that night. Once I was home I got undressed and changed into clothes to sleep in. While I laid in bed, I couldn't help thinking how much I would love to see him again and how wonderful the evening was.
