CW: Cursing, smoking and drinking mentions, internalized homophobia.

The smell of the air was warm. Short, quiet beeps broke the silence. Rustling of sheets brought the beeps to silence, a small groan breaking through. The sheets fell off a figure stretching. A phone buzzed on the nightstand, a delicate hand grabbing it gently and bringing it back to them. The text on the screen read,

                     Sap <3

"If you don't get up, i will call you Karl I'm not playing, school starts in 30 minutes! 6:35"

"School...? Shit-" Karl's voice exclaimed. His phone started ringing. He picked up. "Dude, where the fuck are you?" A voice spoke up. "Hey Sap... sorry, I slept in late." Karl replied, rushing out of bed and to his closet. "Well, no shit!" Sapnap replied, laughing into the phone. "Is it cold out?" Karl asked, looking at his clothing options. "Snowed, shits deep man." The other person replied, coughing. "Could've sent me that through text." Karl replied, a bit annoyed as he sat his phone down after putting it on speaker. He grabbed a thick striped sweater, and some black sweats. He hurriedly got them on, almost falling in the midst of it. "I'll be at school in a minute, see you." He said into the phone. "Adios ami-" Sapnap got cut off from Karl hanging up the phone. Karl ran into the bathroom and brushed his teeth, combing his hair at the same time. He looked at his phone for the time. "6:24... shit." He mumbled. He finished combing his hair as he ran out of the bathroom, grabbing his keys and bag on the way out. He got downstairs and pulled his shoes on at the door. Throwing his bag over his shoulder, he opened the door and locked it behind him. "Just remembered mom took my car..." He grumbled. Only way to school was running.

At schoolll :)

Karl stopped at the entrance, huffing, out of breath. He heard footsteps approach him. "Did you run here or something?" A voice spoke up. "What do you think, Sap?" Karl glared up at the other person. "Never mind that, you came just in time, 2 minutes til school starts." Sapnap smiled, placing his hand on Karl's shoulder. "Can...can we skip for a few minutes.." Karl replied, finally being able to stand up straight. "I mean...yeah. Usually i'm the one to ask you those questions." He laughed. "C'mon, get in my car, I know you didn't eat breakfast." Sapnap used the unlock button to unlock his car. Karl smiled, his cheeks turning a bit red, and not from the cold. They both climbed in the car. "My god it's cold here too!" Karl shivered. "My car's been sitting outside for the past hour Karl, its gonna be cold." He smiled, putting the key in the ignition and turning on the car. "Where to?" He asked, pulling out of the school parking lot. "Can we go to your place?" Karl blushed a bit, struggling to ask that. "Hm. Sure, let's go to my place. My parents won't be home for a few weeks anyway.

The two reached home, after jamming out to a few songs on the radio together. Karl and Sapnap climbed out of the car, walking up to the front door, Sap unlocking it. Karl stepped in first, immediately being hit by the warmth of Sapnap's house. "My god dude! Your house is so warm!~" Karl smiled brightly. Sapnap's cheeks turned a bit red. He tried to ignore it, why did that happen? "C'mon, I'll fix you cinnamon buns. I know how much you like those." He smiled, walking to the kitchen. Karl followed close behind him. Sapnap grabbed the container out of the fridge, Karl grabbing a pan. Karl jumped as Sap opened the container, it making a loud pop. They set out the cinnamon buns, putting them in the preheated oven after. Karl got on his knees to look through the glass of the oven, looking at the buns bake. This made Sap's cheeks grow more red, the warmth filling his body. What was this feeling... he couldn't tell. "Excuse me.." Sapnap mumbled, going to the bathroom. He got into the bathroom and shut the door, pulling off his jacket. He looked in the mirror, blush covering his cheeks. "What.. why am I blushing? I'm not gay.." He huffed. "I can't be gay.." He looked a bit scared. He shoved off the feeling, and he opened the bathroom door, exiting. He walked back over to Karl who was still sitting in front of the oven. He slowly sat down beside him, the thoughts of being gay flooding his mind. Karl looked over and smiled at him, also yawning a bit. Karl sleepily laid his head on Sapnap's shoulder. He blushed more, the red turning brighter and seeming to engulf him. A few minutes later, a soft snore came from Karl. "Oh, he's asleep." Sapnap smiled. He picked up Karl as he stood up, bringing him to the couch. He laid Karl down, sitting beside him. Sapnap turned on the tv, trying to take his mind off the thoughts. After a few minutes, the sound of an oven beeping broke the sound of the tv. Sapnap stood up, walking back into the kitchen to take out the cinnamon buns. He took them out and put on the icing, letting them sit. Sap walked back over to the couch and sat back down, as soon as he did he felt pressure in his lap. He looked down and Karl, still asleep, had his hand resting on Sap's thigh. His eyes widened, his face turning red. "Wh...what?" He mumbled, in pure shock. The feeling of Karl's delicate hand felt...nice..and welcoming to him. Woah woah what. Nice and welcoming? He's not gay, that'd be disgusting. Sapnap moved Karl's hand off him. "Maybe I can just drink the thoughts away." He sighed, looked over at the alcohol cabinet. "No. Don't break your sobriety." He looked away, staring back at the tv. Why is he feeling this way?
