Oh Hello

"Ahhh, what a perfect day to be stuck in here doing absolutely nothing." I sighed deeply while closing my eyes, trying to relax to the uncomfortable quietness of my room. Ugh, if only I was still sick.. I could be sleeping right now and not worry about being this bored. I rolled around the hospital bed, trying to at least get comfortable and maybe take a quick nap knowing that at this time of the day there is absolutely nothing going on. Well except for groups, but I'm not in the mood to be around all those strangers.

I decided to lay facing down, closing my eyes, finally finding a good spot, only to be interrupted by an opening door.

"Hey daaawg!" I turned my head to where the voice was coming from and saw the girl I met in the hallway last night. What was her name again? Darla.. Diane... Dinah! There you go.

"Hi," I said sheepishly.

"Girl, what you doing up in here in this darkness?" She walked towards the window, opening the curtains, making the bright morning sun light up room. "Much better."

I sat up and looked up to her, "I didn't know you where next door.. What bring you here?"

She ran her hand through her hair and groaned, "I'm just so bored. It sucks so much that we have to get up so early!" She flopped herself on the bed next to me, putting the back of her hand on her forehead dramatically. "There's literally nothing to do and I'm really not in the mood to go to the group session so early."

I chuckled at her silliness and smiled, "That makes two of us."

She sat up on the bed and looked around the room. A small frown formed on her face and she turned to look at me. "Wait.. You don't have roommates?"

I smiled at her and shook my head. "Nope. Well, when I first came here, there was this girl, I think her name was Jacky. But she soon left the next morning and well, I was really sick the first couple of days, so I guess they didn't really want to put anyone in here. Not wanting other kids getting sick and all."

She slowly nodded, her lips turning into a small o. "Did that Jacky girl do anything to you?" I looked at the taller girl, confused and shook my head no. She crossed her legs and explained to me, " That's good. She was really weird, she told everyone she was in here because she drove her and her mom off a road and they had to drag her in here. She was also really mean. Like, I had this roommate, who left a few days ago, and Jacky was just really mean to her. She always used to make fun of her and her hair. We tried to ignore her but she always got a way to insult people. Anyways, I'm glad she didn't say anything or tried doing anything creepy to you."

"Well now I'm really glad I didn't get stuck with her." I said, not knowing what else to say. God I'm so awkward.

"Your room is depressing me, no offense." She got up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom that connected, "C'mon lets go to my room."

I got off the bed and followed Dinah to her room. When I got there I was actually pretty surprised, the walls where covered with drawings and papers. They had at least 10 books and magazines on the side desk and everything seemed so colorful. The sheets weren't the plain, old gray hospital sheets. The bed next to the window had really cool zebra sheets and the bed on middle had cute unicorn sheets and a stuffed dragon on top of it.

I walked closer to the drawing and examined them. "Wow, this are so good.." I traced my finger through them, "did you draw this?"

Dinah laughed, as if I had told her the most hilarious joke in the world and said, "Girl, I can't even draw a line." She wiped away an imaginary tear and continued. "There actually my roommates, she's a really good artist. Not sure where she is right now though, I never know what that girl is up to most of the time. Anyways, be careful with those, they're actually not really glued on the wall. Since they don't let us have tape or anything, thinking we can choke ourselves to death with it for some reason(????), we found out a way to put them up with water. So be careful."

I nodded and sat on the unicorn covered bed. From then we started to have a conversation about anything and everything. We asked each other about our favorite bands and artist. I found out she was really into Beyoncé and how she has a huge family. I also found out she's 15, a year younger than me! I would've sworn she was at least a few months older than me. We talked for hours. At about 3 pm, a nurse came in and asked if I was in my right dorm, I told her I wasn't, but she didn't mind, as long as we don't make a lot of noise.

Visiting hours passed by and it was already 6 pm. None of us had a visitor today so we played games and talked some more. I ended up in the floor, my legs on the bed. We where in a heated argument on who would win in a fight to the death, Spiderman or Ironman, when we got interrupted by a voice.

"Those dudes are tripping. They said they would reduce my dose to 50mg but they still gave me those 100mg pills. I'm about to-"

Deep green eyes widen at the realization Dinah had a guess in the room. "Oh, Hello."

I quickly sat up straight and froze on the spot. Holy poop holy poop it's her. It's the beautiful girl I saw. She's talking to me! Wait, Dinah and her are room mates?! Why didn't she tell me. That must mean I was sitting on her bed!

"Earth to Mila?"

"Oh hi!" I said standing up and reaching out my hand to her, "I'm Camila."

She took my hand, and the moment she did both out eyes widen, I should have been dead because I swear my heart just fell out my body. We stayed looking at each other until her eyebrows furrowed and she tilted her head to the side adorably, "Don't I know you?"

I looked at her confused and spoke slowly, "I... I don't think so..."

"Ahem." We both turned to look immediately at the younger girl in the room. "Um Mila, it's getting pretty late, you should probably go back to your dorm. Usually when Lauren takes her meds she instantly knocks out."

"Oh yeah I should get going.." I turned to look at the black haired girl again and smiled, "it was nice meeting you."

"It was nice meeting you too Camila." She returned my smile and we stayed looking at each other for a couple of seconds before I looked down to our still holding hands.

I quickly let go and blushed. "Well I should get going! I had fun today Dinah! I'll see you guys tomorrow, goodnight!" I quickly walked back to my room and threw myself on the bed.

I smiled widely and looked out the window, seeing the sun setting down from my room. Today turned out better than I expected.

A/N: I am soooooo sorry. I haven't posted in such a long time and I feel really bad. I've been wanting to write but I just haven't had motivation. But tonight I did and I had to write everything down before I lost my inspiration. Anyways it's 5am and I apologize for the grammar mistakes and such. Oh and I also want to take everyone for reading this story. I can't believe this had 900+ reads! Please leave feedback if you want and I'll try to post more regularly. x (:
