We get to there house and go to there moms office. Turning on the computer. We plug the USB in. It takes a few seconds to load. A file label nick appears. I can feel my heart racing.

Emily grabs my hand. Jake clicks it. It opens up a video of my house. "That's Nick's room" I say. It shows nick and haylie "What the fuck"? I said. She grabs his shoulder and bites his neck. He falls to the floor. The video ends

"He..he didnt kill him self?" I whisper. Tears falling down my face. I was lightly shaking at this point. "Or did she"? I stop my self. Shaking my head. This is to much. A file labeled bonuses appears.

Jake hesitates for a second before opening it. It shows nick in a cell. I cover my mouth in horror. I open and close my eyes thinking the video will change. "He's alive" I gasped.

Jake and Emily look just as shocked. "She's been here for two years! Why.. why my family"? I ask. "We just met" I snap. "This.. is insane" Emily says shocked. "She must of known him." Jake says.

We head towards the living room. "I dont care if I drank yesterday I need another drink" I say. "Me too" Emily says. Going to make us drinks. "I am going to call my mom and fill them in" Jake says. He walks out back.

Emily makes the drinks and we sit on the living room floor. "They've had him for two years em.. he's probably lost hope by now.. how did I not know"? I ask. Voice breaking. "You cant blame your self there was no way you could of known" she says.

"I found him!"I yell. I feel my self getting angry. I throw a bottle at the wall making Emily jump. "He will hate me.. he will hate us" I say. Tears running down my face. I fall the the floor covering my mouth. Shaking lightly. Emily sits beside me holding me.

"How is this even possible " I whisper Barrying my head in my hands. "Did yall have a open casket"? Emily asks.

I shake my head no. "I guess it doesn't matter how.. this is what is happening. How will we get him"? I ask. Jake sits down beside us. "I dont know.. but we will. I'm so sorry this is happening" he says.

"How'd Derek take it"? I ask. Jake rubs his hands on his pants. "Well..not good" he says. "There coming back in a few days. Going to do a fast lesson on how to control your self than they'll be back and will make a plan" he says.

I sigh. "I am going to have to tell my dad" I say. Jake looks at me. "Why"? He asks. "If we save nick how do we explain him being alive" I state. He nods. "If he cant handle it or whatever you can make him forget he knows" I ask. He nods.

I get up cleaning up the glass.

"Looks like we are apart of your world" Emily says. He gives her a look that makes him look so broken.  "I tried so hard to keep you out of this" he says. "How do we even go about finding him"? I ask.

"I'll try and talk to her at the dance" he says. "Em will you be my date" I say. Smiling and wiggling my eyebrows at her. Trying to break the tension. The pain I feel.  She laughs. "I mean obvi babe" she says with a wink.

We bust out laughing. "I am going to call my dad to come over. Itll be easier here" I say.
Jake nods. "This is going to be a hard conversation.. " I say

"I havent compelled anyone in so long" he says. I call my dad and ask him to come to Emily's. I am freaking out. I down my drink.  Jake takes It from me.
"Being drunk and having this conversation isnt a good idea" he says. I sigh.  Rolling my eyes.

I freeze when I hear a knock on the door. Jake rubs my back in a circle motion.  "It'll be ok" he says. I nod. Trying to calm my heart. He heads towards the door opening it.

"Ugh hi I'm stormies dad" he says. "Jake Emily's brother come on in" he says. They come into the living room. "What a place yall have" he says. I take another deep breath before heading towards. Them

Emily and Jake sitting across from them looking anxious. I sit beside my dad. "Hey twice in one day" he says smiling. Trying to hide his worry. "Dad.. I have to tell you something and itll be hard to understand or even believe " I say.

"Your not pregnant are you"? He says I try not to laugh. "God no. That would be easier than this" I say. He nods. "Where do I start." I close my eyes. "Mom give me the strength" I whisper. Jake giving me a encouraging look.

"Jake and his mother are not normal humans" I say. My dad nods his head. "Ok.. what are they"? He asks. "Well they dont quite have a term I guess a mix of a vampire and warewolf" I say. Saying this out loud sounds crazy.

My dads eye are wide. With terror and confusion.  "Wh..what"? He asks. "Derek.. died.. he was killed at the festival.. and Jake turned him" I say. Drawing out the words. 

He looks at Jake. "Derek died. His eyes fighting tears. I dont understand any of this stormie how did you get involved with any of this? How is this even real? Is it a sick joke? Because your mad at me"? He asks. I shake my head no. Fighting tears.

"Its true. Trust me I didnt believe it at first either. There are these other two Katie and haylie who.. apparently have been holding nick hostage" I say. I left out there connection to Jake. I dont need my dad thinking he is not on our side.

My dad looks sick. "Hun hes dead you.. you found him" he says.  "I know i thought so too.. til I saw a video of him a few days ago in a cell" I said. He stairs at me. "I wanna see it" he says.  I sigh.

"Ok" I whisper. We head to the computer room. Jake loads up the video and plays it. My dad's eyes fill with tears. "How'd we not know" he whisper.  "I dont know" I say.  "Why don't we call the police" he says.

"I think you no that answer" I say. He looks down. "I.. I am going to go. I'll call you later " he says. "Jake.. see what he is going to do" I say. My dads eyes widen. "What"? He asks.

"I'm sorry dad we don't know who we can trust" I say. Looking away. Jake steps in front if him looking him in the eyes. My dad looks at him with hatred. "He is being honest" Jake says.

"I dont want any part of this. Stormie your coming home with me. Derek has a new life now" he says. Heading towards the door. I widen my eyes in shock. "No" I say. He looks at me.

"It wasnt a question" he snaps. "I dont care.. Derek stayed here for me. I wont leave him" I say. "If you don't come with me now. Than I never wanna see you again.  People like him" he says pointing to Jake. "Have no soul" he hisses. Where is this coming from

"Than I guess this is goodbye" I say. "Your mother would be so disappointed" he snaps before leaving.  I stand there staring at the door.  tears in my eyes. Jake and Emily try and comfort me but I run up to my room slamming my door. How can he turn his back on us? I think to my self.
