Arguments are never fun, but the making up part is. - Laurmani. Smutty times ahead.

Emotions were flared, feelings were hurt and Normani honestly had no idea how they got here. They were happy. They were so happy only an hour ago. Everything got flipped on its head and she really doesn't know who's to blame.

"What do you want from me Lauren? Seriously. What do you want from me? Do you want to come out? Do you want to just thrust our relationship into the public eye? Is that what you want?" the oldest of the two said in a biting tone. She was pacing throughout the couple's living room.

"That is exactly what I want Normani. It's been three years Princess. What the hell are we even hiding from? What are we even hiding for?" replied the other occupant of the room. She was pacing as well, but there was a considerable distance between the two.

At Lauren's question, Normani paused. She honestly could not answer why they were still hiding. She doesn't know why they couldn't just come out to the public. No one was stopping them for once, so why won't she let them come out? "Well Princess? I'm waiting for a response. You seemed to have had one when this all started," Lauren paused to look her girlfriend. "You know, this isn't fair to me. At all. You do know that right?" Lauren finished, her tone dripping in anger.

She stops her pacing to face the girl on the opposite side of the room. She takes notice of how Normani was now standing completely still with her eyebrows furrowed. The girl then looks up at her with bright, shiny eyes. "I know that it's not fair. I do and I'm sorry, I just-" she doesn't finish, but she instead closes her mouth. She then proceeds to walk towards the stairs, halting to make one last comment. "I'm going to go upstairs. I just need to think for a second," she says before she resumes walking.

Lauren just watches her leave, suddenly not understanding where the argument even started. She moves to the sofa where Normani previously stood by and sits down. She rubs at her forehead before covering the entirety of her face with her hands. She wants to go after her, she really does but she knows better. She knows to just let her have some space but it doesn't make it any easier. "Shit," Lauren whispers out, hands still covering her face.

30 minutes later
------
Lauren stood at the door to their room. Her hand was frozen in midair, ready to knock. Unfortunately, she was at a loss of what to do. She could hear Normani sniffling from the other side of the door but she didn't know if it would be best to go in now. After weighing the pros and cons, she decided that  she would. She wanted to get something right in regards to her girlfriend tonight. She knocked a couple of times and waited a beat before entering the room.

She entered the room and closed the door softly behind her. Still standing by the door, Lauren takes in the girl across from her. Normani was sitting in the middle of the bed, cross legged, and facing the door. Her head was originally laying on her right hand, but she was now holding it up to address Lauren. "Can you just stay right there for a second please? I need to say something and I cannot do that if you're near me," she instructed. The other girl stayed in her position by the door, choosing to lean against it now. Her eyes were trained on the girl on the bed, giving her her undivided attention.

"I'm sorry that I'm not ready. You were right, it's not fair to you at all. I'm just-I am just so afraid of what will happen and how people will react. No one was in our corner when we first told people we were dating. Only a few friends and your siblings, but that was it. We almost lost everything. Our jobs, my family, various friends, no one really gave us a shot all because we were two girls who fell in love," Normani pauses to sniffle and wipe at the increasingly progressing tears.

"I don't have anything else to lose Lo. I don't have anything else to lose but you. I'm afraid of all that I could lose but I'm mostly afraid that I will lose you too. That I will lose you because I keep making you wait. And I think that maybe you'd be better off-," Normani cuts herself off, or rather her crying does. She covers her face with her hands and just sits her head in her lap.
