Sophie at some point realizes she loves Keefe. They start dating, but Keefe is still insecure and not really sure. He's trying to make sure he doesn't hurt her and trying to go slow. Sophie keeps remembering some sort of fiasco with Fitz, and Keefe isn't really sure they're made for each other. He's trying to make sure she doesn't get hurt because he "knows" that he will no matter what.
