After a long walk, one that would make your legs want to leave out of your body just to forcefully get some rest, they arrived. Anna, Emilia and Fritz.t

Emilia-"I have to stop. I can't anymore."

Fritz-"Come on, we can't waste any second."

Emilia-"What? There's nothing to hurry for."

Fritz-"I just wanna arrive in Berlin."

Emilia-"Oh now you suddenly want to go there? Why?"

Fritz-"I realized something. I will tell you later, I promise, now come on."

Emilia-"Can't you just tell us now, on the move?"

Anna rolls her eyes.

Fritz-"No, please, please let us just go."

Emilia-"Fine."

After a long walk, they finally arrive at the outskirts of Berlin, they take shelter in an abandoned cafe.

Emilia sets up a makeshift sleeping place, made of parts from a soft material, and broken wooden chair legs. All the while Fritz just sits down on the floor, lighting up a fire by lighting sticks on fire, then putting a dry leaf on fire, then several, and at last putting more sticks, finishing by some broken wooden parts.
They three all sit down near the fire.

Emilia-"Say, what got you into all this?"

Fritz-"What do you mean?"

Emilia-"You know, all this murder, suddenly, this isn't you."

Fritz-"In love and war, everything is permitted, especially when there are no more rules."

Emilia-"That doesn't mean there can't be communities, safe zones, peace."

Fritz-"You don't understand, you never do."

Emilia-"Then go on, smarty-pants, say what I have to understand."

Fritz-"There are no peaceful people, it's kill or die, when you give two starving humans a piece of meat on the floor, one's going to die. This entire country is gone and now the neighbors are coming, they're taking land, they're taking people, they're destroying what is left of us."

Emilia-"Damn, I-"

Fritz-"You got rebels on your right, soldiers on your left, where are you gonna go? Ahead? Ahead is death, at the hands of one of them, go behind and you will die, hiding from them, they're gonna find you, they're gonna kill you. Soldier, citizen, refugee, they don't care."

Emilia-"Why wouldn't they?"

Fritz-"I guess I will never understand. But by what I've seen from back before, that self-defense almost led us to death."

Emilia-"You still didn't answer my question, how did you get into this cold-blooded murderer?"

Fritz-"The trainings, Emilia. The TRAININGS. The things we had as kids. Did you even do anything?"

Emilia-"Of... of course I did."

Fritz-"You did shit, you did nothing."

Emilia-"I'm sorry, alright? I just, I just can't kill people."

Fritz-"Then get the fuck out of my sight."

Emilia-"Woah, woah what the hell is wrong with you, Fritz?!"

Anna steps up, sick of listening to them both argue. She looks at Fritz with some weird dead-eye.

Fritz-"What?"
