♤ NARDO ♤
Horace wasn't an angry, evil, spiteful person by nature.
He had a heart and wanted to protect the people he loved no matter what.
He had reasons to be angry, people just refused to listen they assumed about him rather than actually learning who he was.
So, his main thing was why would he show up meetings where he'd ultimately always be judged.
"Whatchu' still doin' here for?" Maia asked him, walking out in her work uniform.
"I'm mindin' my business what it look like?"
"Now, when they come knocking at my door."
"They ain't gon' do that."
"Oh like they ain't do when they picked you up for missin' court." "Don't talk to me like I'm stupid."
"Don't say stupid shit then." He mumbled, his sister leaning over him face scrunching up.
"Nardo." He stayed silent, resolving to just ignore her.
"Horace." She tried again becoming irritated. Maia then took a pillow and hit him on the head with it repeatedly.
"Fuck you do that for!?"
"You playin' around and I don't have time for it."
"You the one-" She cut him off her face reminding him so much of their mother.
"Get yo ass up and go to that meetin'." Her tone deadly serious."I'm not gon' say it again."

Arms crossed and face in a deep frown Horace was back in that room with the same people- including Kentrell listening to them talk.
Fuck Maia, the main mantra in his head.
"Horace, how you feelin' today?" Clifford asked, everyone all looking at him.
"Fine."
"Anythin' happen in yo week that bothered you?"He gave him a gentle smile. "Remember this is a safe space."
"Everythin' in my week bothered me."
"You mind tellin' us about it."
"No."
"Now, Horace for you to be able to retain the lessons from this group you have to be willing to open up."
"You said I ain't have to if I ain't want too."
"I know what I said-" He was interrupted by Horace who scoffed.
"Then why you ain't stickin' with it?"
Clifford took a couple of deep breaths clearly trying to regain his peace.
"Instead of me asking y'all in a group setting about your week let's try one on one sessions."
"Everyone turn to your neighbor and start talking."
Of course, his neighbor was Kentrell who was already smirking at him ready to start some shit.
"You ever figure out where I saw you from?" He asked Horace rolling his eyes at the question.
"No."He glared at him,"Ion give a fuck either."
"Who pissed in yo cheerios?"The man raised his hands up. "I was just tryna find common ground."
"Tell me then."
