Chapter 1 - The beach

It was the day before the 1st day of school so I decided to go to the beach . Florida had some really nice beaches especially miami which is where I live. It was just me and my mom. My mom laid out our towels right under the sun and I set up the umbrella and the chairs. " Luz I'll be right back, I forgot the sunscreen in the car don't talk to anyone you hear me?" I nodded my head yes and she walked away. The sun was beaming down on me, it was a really hot day. I took of my clothes since I had my bikini under it and threw my clothes on top of my towel. There was a lot of people at the beach but I didn't notice any cute boys, which is what I usually look for when I come to the beach. What can I say? All girls do that. I laid down on my towel and took out my phone to check my twitter. 200 new followers and 50 mentions, you could say I'm 'twitter famous.' Twitter is addicting, I'm always on it 24/7. As I was scrolling down my tl I noticed there were a lot of "mahomies" obsessing over some guy named Austin saying they wish they were at the beach with him. 'Who's this Austin guy?' I thought to myself. Austin was always on my timeline but I never knew who he was. ' At the beach, Miami is the best!! ☀🌴' I tweeted. A few minutes later I had a couple girls tweeting me like crazy. One said, " OMG YOU LIVE IN MIAMI!? HAVE YOU SEEN AUSTIN AT THE BEACH YET!!!!!????" I ignored the tweets and logged out of twitter. At the corner of my eye, I noticed someone kept looking over at me. I looked over to see a really cute teenage boy. He seemed my age, about 15 maybe 16. When I looked at him he just smiled at me. The guy was really cute and he had an amazing smile with some gorgeous eyes. I smiled back and looked away. " Here put some on!" I jumped as my mother came up behind me handing me the sunscreen. " Mom , don't do that you almost have me a heart attack sneaking up behind me!" We sat in the chairs and just talked for hours enjoying the nice sun and the whole time we were there, that same guy kept staring at me. It was around 5 p.m when we finally got home from the beach. I couldn't stop thinking about that boy at the beach, he was just so cute, he was perfect but I didn't know who he was. It was one of those cute guys you see somewhere and you hope to see them again, but you never do. " Go take a shower & get ready you have school tomorrow .. My baby is growing up already in 11th grade!" my mom hugged me and kissed my forehead. " Come on don't you think I'm a little to old for kisses ma?" I said while trying to get loose from her grip. She tightened the hug and said, " Of course not, you never will be you're always going to be my little girl." " Okay mom I promise I'll always be your little girl but can you let go now your hurting me a little bit I can't breathe." She laughed and let go. I smiled at her and went upstairs, took a shower and laid in my bed. After what seemed like hours of watching movies I fell asleep.
