The cool breeze whipped my hair across my face as my small hands brushed my hair back to its original position. The wind only retaliated by winding through my hair once again. I lay staring up at the puffy white clouds that adorned the baby blue sky.
My arm raises up, as If to reach up and poke one.
"Look harry! That one's a bunny!"
My best friend ,harry, who lay next to me, gave me an inquisitive look and cocked his head sideways.
"Noooo! It's an alligator!"
He said guiding my arm to trace the imaginary alligator.
"Get off the grass kids! You'll ruin your clothes!" Shouted my mommy while turning back to her best friend.
My mom's best friend is Harry's mommy! That's why me and him are best friends too! Today was my birthday, I turned 6, and my party just ended. Harry was only a year older then me, but we were still in the same grade. Everyday he assured me I was the only girl at our school who didn't have kooties.
"Okay momma!" I shouted back as harry and I jumped to our feet. He reached in his pocket and unveiled a delectable cherry ring pop. He un wrapped the sweet jewel and slid it on his finger.
"Harry, lets play house like yesterday! I'm the mommy and YOU'RE the daddy!" I say poking his tummy.
He giggled at my playful touch.
"Okay!" He said. But then, he unexpectedly released the sugary red gem from his finger and slipped it onto mine.
"What's that for?" I asked harry questioningly.
"You're my wife now! You need a ring if we're married!" He replied.
"Thanks!" I say.
"Welcome. One day I'll give you a real ring. Cuz I only want to marry a girl who doesn't have kooties. You're the only girl I know who doesn't have kooties, Belle."
I giggled and pulled him closer to give him a hug, looking up at the sky, I finally saw the alligator harry pointed out just moments before.
11 years later....
The halls of palm beach central high school have never seemed more distant. I can't stand high school, yea I'm supposed to be happy because I'm a senior but, no. This place is hell.
"AYYEEE BELLE FROM HELL!!" Shouted the ass hole quarter back and his friends as they slammed my locker shut.
"I was trying to get my book, Trent..." I shyly say back to him.
He laughed loudly in my face, "my bad, hell belle!" He sauntered away with his egotistical friends.
"Don't listen to them, Belle. They're stupid." Said my one and only friend,Tori. She is probably the only reason I ever go to school anymore.
"Yea I know," I said repositioning some hair behind my ears, "I just wish they would stop. But you know they aren't the worst part of this school."
Right on cue, the worst part of this school cat walked in through the front door.
Brittany and her skank army.
They marched down the hall way like they owned it. Her long curly, blonde hair bounced up and down with her walk of confidence.
And to my disgust, she crashed her lips against the only decent guy in this whole school.
Harry Styles.
Unfortunately, she and him have been dating since sophomore year. But, everyday I wished that I was the one wrapped up in his arms. He didn't have a clue that I've loved him since we were just little kids. Why was he dating that slut anyway? I would think that his morals would kick in when he saw a walking STD, but I guess I was wrong.
Snap! Tori's fingers appeared in front of my face, making a clicking noise.
"Belle, snap out of it! Stop drooling over Harry! Brittany will see you!"
And see me, she did
