Briarsong opened her eyes and felt relief flood over her.

"Welcome home," Cloverclaw purred. "Its nice to see you again."

"It's nice to see you again too," Briarsong smiled but felt annoyed that there was no apology for their silence.

"Hello again," came another voice from behind her and Briarsong was shocked to see Ivybranch sharing in her dream.

"We're glad you are finally back in the forest." Flowertail announced with a gleeful smile. "Safe to say they all really need your help."

"How am I supposed to know which apprentices are right to be a Medicine Cat if I don't know any of the apprentices in any of the other clans?" Briarsong asked, deciding to stick to business instead of asking why Starclan hadn't spoken to her since she was exiled. Flowertails smile quivered at the coldness of Briarsongs reply.

"We can help you out with that thankfully," Cloverclaw continued. "And then once you find and speak to the three apprentices you will train them at night in their dreams so that during the day they can explore their own territories to find the herbs you teach them about."

"Ivybranch can help with this as well." Flowertail added. "With the two of you it shouldn't take too long to get all three into a comfortable spot before Leaf-bare."

"Have three fully trained Medicine Cats before Leaf-bare?" Briarsong asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"Oh no." Flowertail shook her head. "Not fully trained between you and Ivybranch and we're hoping they will be well equip to make it through Leaf-bare."

"That should be doable." Ivybranch nodded. "We can work them hard throughout the night and then they are responsible for putting that into practice during the day. We can hopefully work them double time to speed up the training."

"Exactly," Cloverclaw purred. "What a power team we have here. I am so happy to have you two back together."

"How do we know which apprentices?" Briarsong brought back up. As much as she enjoyed seeing Cloverclaw and Flowertail, she found that the hurt she harbored bore deep into hear heart.

"We don't know their names," Flowertail said slowly. "But we can tell you what they look like."

"That's better than nothing," Ivybranch chuckled.

"From Smokeclan there is a grey tabby tom, Mountainclan there is a dark tawny tom, and in Meadowclan there is a orange and white she-cat."

"Thank you," Briarsong dipped her head and turned to leave.

"Wait," Flowertail called and reached forward out. "Don't be mad," she whispered into Briarsong's ear. "I didn't abandon you. You just went further than our skies reach."

Briarsong felt the fur along her spine slowly relax as she felt a hot tear roll down her cheek.

"This is your last job for Starclan if you so choose it to be," Cloverclaw padded forward and touched noses with Briarsong. "You have created a lovely new life for yourself and your clan is in good paws with Ivybranch. If you decide to leave the forest you will be relieved of any and all Medicine Cat duties and laws. The choice will be yours."

"You will always be welcome to join Starclan when its your time," Flowertail added with a smile. "You will never be turned away, no matter what you decide. There is a spot here for you my sweet friend."

Briarsong awoke and looked over to see Ivybranch slowly awakening. Sully padded over to check on her but she reassured him she was fine and he backed off to let her wake up.
