Crossroads where Rock meets Country

Chapter 2

The way he looked at Pete, I can just feel his anger for doing that to me. "Oof Pete is going get it later" I say while walking backstage. When the song is over they walk back, and I try to ease him down from Pete, and it worked for now. "My love please don't be mad. I needed a break, and he saw that I was shutting down" I pressed my breasts up against his chest to calm him and it worked. 

We go back out to finish the set, but it's a super slow song and despite his anger my Patrick delievered the opening verse very well. I gave him thumbs and he smiles at me. I continue to dance even though it's a much slower dance. Kimberly showed me to dance to it, and it's ballet even though I haven't done that in years. I did try my best, after the song is over the crowd went nuts. I thought the song was, but I didn't know until they started chanting 'dancer' over and over. Kim comes up to me, "the crowd loves you go take a bow" I did with the help of my baby. I bowed while starting to cry. 

Pete goes on the mic to say "she had never danced like that in I don't know how long but never for us." then he shouts "Once again give it up for Patrick's wife!" I cried even more as I bowed and my love is so proud of me that he holds me to ease me down. "Thank you honey" I say while he kisses my shoulder. I calmed down, and the crowd does too. We're doing this while Pete is introducing the last song which is 'Thnks Fr Mmrs' the song starts, and I stay for half the song. I go backstage, but this is normal to do this. He doesn't get mad but I stayed for half the song and I bowed out, again the crowd goes wild again. I wave and head back to Marcus, he's there with tissues for me. I blow my nose, and wait for the show to be over. 

The song is over and as always my love is first and I greet him with a kiss. "baby don't get mad at Pete" was the first thing that came out of my mouth after the kiss. "I won't baby" He lies as he says it, I'm walking in front of him. While I'm walking I hear someone yell out "Fight!" I stop and turn to see what happened, and  I stop him. 

I yell out "Patrick Martin Vaughn Stumph!" He stops in his tracks because the only other time I've had to do that was when I caught him doing something secretly behind my back, he was planning our engagement. While they stop I have a flashback to when I first screamed out his name. 

I got so mad at him, because he was hanging out with this woman that I didn't know. I called him out when I spied on him one day, I yelled out his full name in front of the woman and screamed at her too. He calms down "baby please calm down" I don't, I start hitting him, but he stops my arms from hitting him. He kisses me and that eased me down. That woman actually never left though. "Ok I'm calm" I say after the moist kiss. "that's my girl" he says winking at me. "Now this lady is helping me plan my proposal to you. I'm sorry I have been secretive, but I want to surprise you." he says smiling at me. "Our engagement, we're getting married?" I got so happy that I said "yes" 

"Can I at least ask you" he snares, "oh yes you can my sweet" I say while turning to apologize to her. "I'm so sorry for losing my shit like that" she snares and says, "I've been through worse, but thank you for apologizing. You are so nice, you are so lucky, Mr. Stumph" she says, "ok what's going on" I chuckle "he's been going on how much he loves you, how much you mean to him. You are one lucky lady. Anyway my job is done. Good luck to the both of you" she leaves and I start to cry. 

I stop flashback, I start crying as I remember what happened when I first called him by his full name. He sees me crying, and walks to me and says, "yes I remember my love. I'm sorry but what he did you know I had to" I hold him "oh baby I know, but he did what he though was the right thing to do." I say, "I know and I'm sorry Pete" my love apologizes to him as he's walking towards us. "hey man it's cool, she knows you and I call from her look as she walked off that you are going to be mad at me." Pete says, "you damn right!" Patrick exclaims and we laugh, I kiss him. "I love you baby" I say, "I love you too" he says it back to me, we're already on the bus at this point.
