Romain was talking to his lawyer and when he finished he told me everything he said. I was kind of relieved at what he said, I couldn't loose her. I have a motherly love for her, I want her to be my daughter. And Mae wants this too.
Hours passed and we were still in the waiting room. The worst part was that we couldn't know how she was. I'm dying out of waiting. That's when my fiancé's lawyer appeared with a tall woman that looked annoyed.
-Hi, Mr Dauriac and Mrs Johansson! This is Mary Jane, Maeve's social worker. - said Mr Robins
-Hello! - me and Romain answered
-So, let's talk in a private room - Mary Jane said
When we entered in the room, Mr Robins gave us a smile reassuring us
- Mr Robins said that you guys wants to adopt Maeve Victoria, wright?
-Yes, we want - I said happily
- Are you sure? That girl just brings problems... - she started
- Yes, we are and Mae is the sweetest little girl that I've ever meet. - I said getting annoyed
- That's yours decision, but don't come after saying that I didn't warn you guys... - she said
- This is the best decision I've ever did. -I said
- Ok, for now I think you guys can became her foster parents and then apply for adopt her. - she said
- Ok - Romain reply happily
- Just fill the documents - the social worker said giving us a pile of paperwork that we gladly accept
Some minutes later, the social worker walked out the hospital with Mr Robins and me and Romain were officially Maeve's foster parents. When we were in the waiting room some doctors walked in our direction...
