Confrontation

The forests where once filled with comfortable ambiance are now filled with wolves biting each other, my attention was pulled back when Juyeon called for me in her wolf form. “You better not stray from me, they might attack you”.  We dodged some attacks and went through a lot of wolves, some even recognized me but Juyeon quickly blocked them and ran to where we could sense Jaehyun. With smoke and chaos surrounding, We were in the middle of the field, where kids once played. “ Call for him, I don’t think he’ll listen to me” she told me, keeping her eyes around me, attacking when someone nears. I stilled for a minute, debating if I’m really doing this, if I’m ready to call him and see him again. With that I called for him, shouting “Jaehyun! I know you’re here somewhere and I’m what you want!”

I looked around when I smelled a familiar scent, very familiar, and I saw someone running towards me that fast. Tackling me that I fell down, ready to claw on that wolf and realize it’s taeyong. “What are you doing here?” He scolded me, eyes burning in rage. “Let me go! Let me talk to him” I replied, my brows furrowing even though I’m in my wolf form. “You heard the Luna tae, let her go” Juyeon interrupted, she’s behind me and ready to fight one on one with taeyong. “Shut it Juyeon, not now” He glared at her, and I heard her scoff. “You’re really that persistent” Taeyong pulled me up and started to guide me back, but before I could escape, Juyeon pounced on Taeyong, making the two fight so suddenly that I was given the chance to find him. I can actually sense him when Taeyong came, he is somewhere in the crowd of different colors of wolves fighting, growling. I kept running so that I could now see and hear some of his thoughts, “Chaerin! Where are you?” He called, his deep voice vibrating in my head.I sped up when I knew the direction of his calling. I immediately stopped when I saw his wolf form, his eyes caught mine and I ran to him, absentmindedly switching to my human form so that I could hug him. He switched so fast that he hugged me so tight, I could barely breathe. His hand held the back of my head and circled my waist, I hugged his back and heard his ragged breaths. “God… I’ve been searching for my Luna” he whispered to me, his deep voice that I really missed. I squeezed my eyes and felt tears falling down, I cried buried my head and cried on his chest. He comforted me with his back rubs and I had the courage to look at his face, his face that looked tired but he’s still handsome.
Before I had the urge to kiss him, I pulled myself away from him, he looked confused and tried to pull me back but I stepped backwards. “Stop this Jae, you’re hurting the others for idiotic reasons” his soft expression from earlier turned into a sour one, he glared at the me, and said “they kidnapped you, they deserve this”

“We can’t have this again! I thought we’re here for the treaty Jae! Even your mother is here and you lied about her, I had my doubts, a lot of them, they even tried to convince me not to return to you since you lied to me but I really want to see you, to feel you, to be with you even I felt the connection waver for a moment then suddenly it overwhelmed me when I saw you” I yelled I’m frustration, and he looked on the other way, guilty. “I’m sorry, I’ll call them back” Jaehyun told me, his eyes sincere and worried. I assured him that I’m fine when he started checking my arms for possible wounds. “You better not have a scratch on you or they’ll be dead “ he warned me then kissed my forehead before shifting to his wolf form.

I heard his howl and the fighting stopped, I also shifted to call the boys off, and the packs separated from each other. I then transformed back into my human form. Before I could run towards the Neopack since I saw Johnny with Mark, Yangyang pulled me away from them. “We heard your howl, we can’t give you back yet, they didn’t go with the plan, they attacked first so let’s hear their side” he explained when I furrowed my brows at him. I saw Jaehyun step out of the crowd from the other side, his eyes shifted on me. Before I can speak, Taeyong yelled “We had a meeting, a peace meeting Jaehyun, which part you didn’t understand when you attacked me at the border and made damages in my pack” he demanded an answer by the tone of his voice. All eyes and ears were then on Jaehyun when he replied “Well, since you lost my trust when you took her from me in the first place, I didn’t trust you when you offered the peace treaty, I mean even now you’re taking her hostage” He replied, his voice came out fierce that I can see he’s angry that I’m still in my pack. “Shut it, I’m the reason why this is happening at the moment so I have the right to speak about this right?” I voiced out, and Taeyong nodded at  me. “You two can’t fight for me, for my position in both packs, I can be in both packs without you two fighting and dragging other packs into this unreasonable war since we’re just the same species” some voices were whispering and some agreed. “I would like to make a contract between two packs, that both will stop fighting for me since I belong to both packs, I can be in the Neopack and Krypto pack at the same time. The acceptance of the Hybrid pack, which is called the Krypto pack is what I’m also asking for since I can prove that this kind of mixed species including me is safe for everyone ” I explained and Jungwoo asked. “How about your safety?” His eyes on Jungkook when he asked that. “My safety, that’s what I’m offering, if one of the packs harm me, that’ll be the reason for the war. Seeing that both packs are protecting me for obvious reasons, that’s what I’m offering to both of the packs.” The whispers turned into murmurings. I looked at Jaehyun whose face seemed relieved and talked to me in my head. “Are you sure?” He asked. I nodded, smiling at him. He walked toward the center and held out his palm, then Taeyong walked in front of him. There is tension between the two but this is also the only way I can bring them back. The two offered their palms and I connected them with my powers, the contract shining in their palms, and for a moment of it shining, it was finally sealed. The other Alphas of the other pack also did the handshake with Taeyong one by one for their approval of the contract. I turned to Jaehyun and I was caught by him in his arms, again.

“I missed you, so much” he told me and I hugged him tighter. “Well that we’re done here, we need your help to clean the mess you made” Taeyong was between us and Jaehyun glared at him. I can see both packs now gathering and some were discussing and healing, though there is still doubt and tension, with the contract/treaty sealed, both packs cannot attack each other. “I still can’t believe you hid the information about Chaerin from before, and you even kidnapped her” Jaehyun exclaimed, and Taeyong just rolled his eyes “I can’t even trust you that fully since you lied to her” he replied. The moment of silence between them turned into a hug, “I’m really sorry Jae, I was wrong about it” Taeyong said in their hug. “I’ll help the krypto pack on their buildings and the expenses, just name the price” Jaehyun replied, shaking taeyongs hand, “oh of  course I’ll name the price, you’re an CEO of the company Anyway” taeyong replied and Jaehyun had a subtle smiled as an reply. Juyeon then appeared beside the two and had a heated conversation with Taeyong about their fight from earlier. “Just you know, you ruined my hair!” The other Alphas talked and interviewed the Hybrid’s pack, including me. “Even though they say you’re dangerous, I don’t really see you, Luna as an dangerous one, I can see that your gift is the gift of healing which is useful in your pack since the members get into hard training sometimes” Alpha Suho told me and he was nudged by Sehun on his side.

That evening, there was a gathering in the pack’s field, filled with different people from different packs. The feast of Connecting packs all together. I smiled from the window from my room when somebody knocked. “Come in”

“You look lovely, and delicious from here” Jaehyun, in his handsome suit, told me when I turned back to see who came in. I wore a cream maxi summer dress that fitted me. “Of course, only for you” I replied, I can feel the heat on my face when he kept checking me out. “I have a rather crazy idea” he started, when I sat on my bed. “What is it?”

“How about we hold your Coronation, right here, I have the same people on your coronation day here too” I looked at him in disbelief. “Are you serious?” He chuckled and smiled, Damn those dimples. “Very serious” I then went in my closet, trying to find a dress for this important event but he stopped me and told me that “whatever dress you wear, it is very suitable for you and it’s okay with me, So this is okay even though it’s your coronation, you still look wonderful in it” his eyes fixed on my eyes then went to my lips. I didn’t waste any time and pulled him for a deep kiss, “you’re driving me mad, literally” and we both laughed. God I really did miss him huh.

The ceremony started, I walked down and saw that the place was done that quickly with the help of ten and the other’s efforts. I had my oath, and Jaehyun placed the crown on my head, blessing me with his sword. I was requested for a speech that I improvised on the spot, I had parts where I stuttered and made the audience laugh but after all of the parts, I was finally crowned and announced as the Neopack Luna.
