Madison's P.O.V.

"This is the place?" I asked my friends. It was Sunday and all four of us were standing in front of my grandparents house. I think it's my grandparents house, not sure until we knock on the door.

"This is the address Erica found," Sara said. Erica knocked on the door before anyone could say anything else.

A woman with gray hair, that looked very old, but she didn't have tons of wrinkles, only a few, answered the door. Once her eyes landed on me I noticed how some fear entered her eyes.

"What can I do for you kids?" The woman asked us.

"Honey! Who's at the door?" A man from inside yelled before any of us could talk. He then walked up behind his wife and once his eyes landed on me I noticed some fear enter his eyes too.

"Hello, are you Mr. and Mrs. Reese?" Taylor asked.

"Or Mr. and Mrs. Slayer?" I added in while eyeing my grandparents. They sighed in defeat, I'm surprised that Erica actually got their address right.

"Come in Madison. It's been to many years since we've seen you and your brothers," My grandmother said. My friends and I followed my grandparents into their house. We walked into what looked like the living room and sat down on the couches.

"How did you find out about us?" My grandpa asked me.

"Mom wrote in a journal, but she also said that you guys threw her out of the house, is that true?" I asked my grandparents.

"I think it's best if we start from the beginning," My grandpa suggested. My friends and I stayed silent, waiting for one of my grandparents to start the story.

"We were shocked at first when we learned about Janette's secret, but we were disappointed that she never told us when this all started. We weren't thinking when we first threw her out, and then we learned that she had a secret place where she always hung out," My grandma started.

"We weren't worried about your mother until the day she told us she would be leaving for a few years. We tried to stop her, but the next day she just disappeared. A few years passed before your mother came back, and no one recognized her, not even us," My grandpa continued.

"Everything she did was to protect her family, and the love of her life, your father. She never told him her secret in case she put him in any danger. But your father was smart enough to already know," My grandma added.

"In the journal, mom talks about being stalked by someone, that was the reason why she left. Do you know anyone else who knew her secret?" I asked my grandparents. They looked completely shocked after I said that.

"No one else knew, only me, your grandpa, mom, and dad. But Janette never told us about someone following her," My grandmother said, completely shocked that someone would stalk her daughter.

"They could have threatened her, they could have used her weakness to make sure she never tells," I added. It's true, I would have done anything if anyone ever found out my weakness.

"All Janette ever cared about was her family, that's why she hid her identity while street racing. Until someone found out, she was perfectly safe," My grandfather said.

"That's the same with Madison," Sara said. My grandpa raised one of his eyebrows while looking at my friends and me.

"I have a feeling that Madison is just like her mother. I think I already know who Mystery Man is, if he even is a man," My grandfather said. I tried to smile, but I failed. That's just lovely, my grandparents already knew that I was MM.

"Don't even try to lie with us missy, your father already knows to," My grandmother said. I looked at her with wide eyes.

"Dad knows?" I asked, just to make sure I heard her right. It's bad news if my dad knows that I'm really MM.

"Yup, but he also knows why you street race, and you're the exact same person as your mother," My grandfather said.

"Oh! Your father also informed us that your mother had a tattoo. Were is your tattoo?" My grandmother asked me. I looked at her with wide eyes again. I had to turn out the same person as my mom! This is just great!

I turned around and pulled the back of my shirt up a little. No one said a word after that. I pulled my shirt back down and fixed it so no one could see it.

"It's scary how alike you and your mother are, only she had it on her upper back, you have it on your lower back," My grandmother commented.

My friends and I spent the whole day at my grandparents house. We cooked, my grandparents got to know my friends, and I got to learn about my mother.

My grandparents are pretty fun people. While my friends and I were helping my grandma bake cookies, lets just say we all needed to take a shower and clean up the kitchen. Erica accidentally turned the mixer on to high when Taylor was pouring the flour in.

The whole kitchen turned into a puff of white flour. I could barely see where to go and my grandpa couldn't even see inside the kitchen.

We all cleaned the kitchen then went to my house to clean up. No one was home, but I knew that wasn't going to last for long.

Two hours after we got home, my dad came home with all my brothers. They all had grocery bags. Ha! My brothers had to go grocery shopping with my dad! My dad is like a woman when they have a sale for clothes or food.

All of my brothers were at least carrying a bag. It took them a while to put all the groceries away before my dad walked into the living room where my friends and I were. I was just in baggy pants, a t-shirt, and my hair was in a messy bun.

"Your grandfather called me, and I think it's time your brothers finally learned," My dad said, loud enough for my brothers to hear. My dad was giving me the look, and my guess was that he was mad about the tattoo thing.

I looked at my dad with a smile and a face that said 'I-love-you-too-daddy'. My dad wasn't buying it though, and I didn't really expect him to. I was in so much trouble.

***

That is the very last time I tell that secret away. My father knew everything and made sure I told my brothers everything.

During the beginning of the story, Menas spit his water out when I mentioned the word street racer. Merlin didn't say a word and was frozen in place the whole time during my story.

Matthew took my story as a joke and was on the floor dying. Max had passed out when I mentioned that our real mom was Janette Madison Slayer, the famous street race driver.

Mark left the room once the story was over, his face was expressionless. That's never a good sign from Mark. Mitchell started laughing along with my dad when I told them what I made my friends do.

Michael was going off about his sock that I stole. Yup! That sock was Michael's, and the only part of the story he actually listened to was where I said I used his sock.

My idiot of a twin, Mason, ended up spitting his soda on me when I showed them all my tattoo. After the story I ended up taking a shower while my friends left to go to their house.

My family and friends know my secret, I know who my mom really was, and Blade will be out of my life by the end of the week. What could possibly go wrong?

Once everything with Blade is over, my life will go back to the way it perfectly was.

Author's notes:

Another update is here! Don't worry I will work on making the chapters longer. I didn't realize that they were a little short when I first started working on this book. Until next time.
