**** TIME JUMP ALEXANDER, CHRISTOPHER AND ROSS ARE NOW 26 YEARS OLD. ROSS IS NOW KING OF ENGLAND.****

**Alexander's P.O.V**

I stand by Ross' side as we gather round the long table deciding what was the best option. The North of the country had rebelled against the monarchy ten years ago. And now it's happening again.

"We should leave them alone, sending an army up there is only going to make the situation worse!" Lord Jones announced.

"But if we don't intervene now they will take over valuable recourses!" Lord Sykes argued.

"If they take over Essex we could be next!"
Lord Brindley added.

I stared at the floor, I didn't want a war. Christopher was still in York. His family was attacked in the first rebellion ten years ago, no one has heard from them since...

"Lord Alexander what do you think?" Ross asked ripping me from my thoughts.
"I don't want a war..." I sniffed just thinking of Chris made me sad.
"Right meeting over, I'll call another one tomorrow evening then we can make our final decision." Ross declared.

I started walking out of the hall but Ross grabbed my arm and held me back. He looked me straight in the eyes "we need to talk."

I sighed and sat at the table, I held my face in my hands, I looked truly miserable. Ross sat beside me and put one of his arms round my shoulders.
"Your upset about Christopher aren't you?" Ross asked, comforting me. I just nodded I wanted to go back to my quarters and cry.

"Alex we haven't heard from them since Clifford's Tower was attacked. They could be dead for all we know!" Ross muttered.
(Pictures of Clifford's Tower in media. It sticks out like a sore thumb doesn't it? I've been there though it's really nice!)

"He's not dead Ross! I know he's not dead! He can't be dead! I would know if he was dead, I would feel it!" I cried. I fought back the tears. It was hard but I fought them.

"His father was killed Alex do you really think Chris and his mother escaped too?" Ross growled. He missed Chris as well. We all grew up together, we were always causing mischief, we never got caught, we just blamed the dog all the time.
I broke down, i let the tears flow. I was fed up of acting tough. I wanted my friend back, is that too much to ask? Ross pulled me into a hug. He sat there cradling me. I just sat there whimpering and sniffling. "I just want him back Ross." I wailed.

The door flew open and Kim ran in.
"Ross! I've been looking for you every-" she stopped mid sentence.
Ross looked at her with a sad smile. Kim looked at Ross and then to me.
"I'll... just tell you later..." She frowned slowly backing out of the door.

Ross sighed. "A bundle of energy that one." He commented.
"At least you have someone left you love." I mumble. My father died in the last rebellion, along with Ross' and Chris' fathers. My mother became fatally ill a month or so after. They said it was her broken heart that killed her.

"I know what it's like to lose someone you love Alex." Ross stated.

"Ross do you wake up each morning alone, knowing that everyone you love has been stolen away?! Your parents, dead! Your best friend, ripped away from you! I spend every waking moment thinking of that boy! The idea that one day i might find him, alive, happy and well! Yet I could find his cold lifeless body left to decompose where it fell?! My best friend that i should never have lost gone! I wouldn't be able to continue living if I found out that Chris had died! I love him Ross! I can't move on! I can't rest until I find him! I can't forget him. I won't forget him. I love him too much!"

Ross sat with me till I finished crying. He's a good friend. He's always there when I need him. When the tears ceased to flow i got up from the table and trudged back to my quarters, where I cried my self to sleep.
