2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Have you read through all of the Bible? It's difficult to stand firm in our faith when we don't know scripture. It's too easy for people to twist the words of God and for unknowledgeable Christian's to miss it. It's also difficult to speak truth into the world if we don't know it. If you haven't ever read the Bible through, what better time to start than the new year. Below are 3 different Bible reading plans. Two go through it in one year, and the last gives you two years. I have used the first and really enjoy the way it overlaps 4 different books at the same time, because you can so clearly see how all of the scripture (from beginning to end) so perfectly fit together, though they were written over over the course of about 1500 years by 40 different Holy Spirit inspired people. My husband did a chronological reading and got a lot out of it as well. Whatever way you read through the Bible, it is time well spent. You can even get ahead by starting today!
