Chapter 6 - Just tell me

No ones POV

After a quick catch up at the guild, the Dragneel family proceeded back to their house, so once again, Lucy could settle back in. There was tension in the way Lucy both talked and moved. Natsu didn't seem to realise but Nashi had already seen past the pristine smile on her mother's face.

As usual there was a shortage of food in the house so Lucy wrote a list of supplies for Natsu and Happy to go by while Nashi stayed behind to help her mother salvage the house.

"I thought with you living here it might help keep things clean but I always come back to a messy house don't I?" Lucy says to break the silence that had surrounded them since Natsu had left the house. Nashi just seemed to grin in response as she was already busy thinking of other things.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" Lucy asked after noticing Nashi's mood. However, Lucy herself also had uncertainty to her voice, almost like being nervous.

"Well, you haven't been acting quite right lately........Mum, is everything ok?" Lucy looks at Nashi with shock as if she'd asked her to do something stupid but then the look softens. Its not a good look still though. The pain is still there. The secrets written in her eyes. "What have you seen?"

"It's not that simple Nashi, I can't just tell you what I've seen" Concern grows on the mothers face. She was never one for talking about Zeref and Nashi could tell that what ever she was keeping from her was making it harder.

"Mum, stop avoiding the topic. If I think it's what i'm thinking of then you will have to tell me eventually anyway" Nashi's voice begins to rise and the tension builds between the mother and daughter. Why was Lucy hiding from Nashi?

"Nashi, don't raise your voice at me. Now listen, I can't tell you for a reason, i've been told to tell no one by 'First'." Lucy walks up to Nashi and softly embraces her in her arms. "I want to tell you, sweetheart, and I would if I could but I can't and I promise you will know soon enough. You just have to be a little patient"

Nashi lays her head on her mothers shoulder. Why did things have to be so difficult? She loved the fighting and participating in some action but this fight would be different. One small slip up and everyone's dead. Everyone Nashi loves. Everyone the exists in the world that didn't worship Zeref. All those innocent people. Now to top it off there is another obstacle coming their way that her mother isn't even able to tell her about.

Hey minna

i'm so so sorry for giving you guys such a short update so late. I've been really busy and when i'm not busy i'm really tired and have no ideas for writing so i've managed to get this out for you guys at quarter to nine at night my time. I hoped you still enjoyed the chapter though.

While i've got this A/N going I may as well tell you about this new thing a friend and I are doing together. We have made a collab account called: @FairyTailEndingsRUs which is where we will start writing our own little pieces of how we think Fairy Tail will end.
