SO, HERE'S ASTRID'S THEORY — sixth year is going to be fucking great. Everything feels different, now that her head no longer feels like it's constantly about to explode. And after a little rejuvenation in Ilvermorny during her fifth year, it seems as though she feels less antagonistic with life and more like an actual teenager. But here's the thing: her little hypothesis seemed to be correct, up until she had actually entered sixth year. It was fine until she boarded the Hogwarts express and witnessed the wrath of fifth year's aftermath hitting everyone in full force.
And it didn't help that the one person, the one surprising person, that she wanted to tell her whole trip about to, had been completely off the radar whenever the words Ravenclaw and Goldstein came up in the conversation. Normally, she'd automatically know why, and how, and everything in-between. But once again, her timing is impeccable, as she had just learned to control her ability to read minds (AKA get rid of them ... well, temporarily). So now, just when she needed it: the once clever know it all Astrid Goldstein no longer knows anything. At all.
Fucking great.
