Unrevealed III | The Penthouse

Chapter 2

The SNU audition was weeks away and Arden was stressing to perfect her song. She sighed as she read over the music again.

She was really missing her father more and more, especially since everyone was getting released from prison one by one, but no sign of her father.

"Are you okay?" Seokhoon asked as he walked into the empty music room.

"Yeah, I'm just afraid if I don't get in" she said as she sat her music down.

Seokhoon looked over the piano part of the music and looked up at her. "You'll do fine. I've seen you preform. They'll be stupid to turn you down."

"Even if you don't. They'll be stupid to turn you down" he said and then gave her a peck on the cheek. "Let's go to Jenny's party."

Seokhoon grabbed her hand and the two walked to the music room where everyone in their class were to celebrate Jenny's birthday.

Arden and Seokhoon walked over towards a table with Rona and stood by her. "I was wondering where you two were."

"I went looking for her and she was practicing for auditions" he answered.

"What song are you doing?" Rona asked.

"Nessun dorma" Arden answered as she grabbed the cola that was on the table and started drinking it.

"When is your father going to be released? Everyone has been released?" Seokhoon asked. "Has your mother been released."

"Yeah" Arden says as she rolled her eyes. "She had the audacity to call me when she got released."

Flashback

Arden was getting ready for bed when she heard her phone ring. She picked it up and didn't recognize the number, but answered it anyone.

"Hello?" She answered, waiting for a response.

"My pretty daughter! Have you been well?"

Arden felt her world stop. How was her mother released. She started to feel angry at the thought.

"You don't deserve to call me your pretty daughter. You lost that years ago. Don't call me ever again! Never!" She said angrily as she hung up the phone and block the number.

Arden knew her mother would try to call her again, so she hope to change her number soon.

End of flashback

"Do you want anything?" Seokhoon asked as he motioned towards the treats.

"Anything you pick out is fine" she said and sent a smile towards him.

"Okay" he smiled at her and walked towards the table.

"I don't know why I still hang around you two. You two might make me get a toothache with all the sweet stuff you two say" Rona joke as she held the side of her jaw, jokingly.

Arden playfully slapped Rona's shoulders. "Hey! When you find yourself a boyfriend, I will say the same thing."

The two laughed and Seokkyung glared at Rona from far away. She didn't like that Rona was slowly becoming more close towards Arden.

It was now after school. Arden, Haein, and Hyunjoo were walking down the stairs to meet up with Jisoo so they can get home. They noticed a crowd of people around a truck.

"I heard about a coffee truck in front of our school. Do you think Ms.Shim bought this?" Hyunjoo asked as she turned towards to Jo sisters.

They both shrugged and walked closer. As they got closer, the figure slowly was recognizable. Arden eyes widened along with Haein's. "No way."
