Unrevealed III | The Penthouse

Chapter 1

It's been a few weeks since Mr.Jo was sentenced to prison. Arden sighed as she looked at his photo at his desk in his office.

"Arden" Haein said as she entered the room. "Are you having dinner with the twins and Ms.Shim?"

"Yeah," Arden says as she put down the photo. "I'm bringing Rona along as well, since she might be lonely since Ms.Oh is in jail."

Haein bit her lip nervously. "I wouldn't bring Rona along."

"Why?"

"I can see it in Seokkyung eyes. She doesn't like Rona, especially since she's so close to you and Seokhoon" Haein explained as she followed her sister out the room. "It doesn't help that Rona won the Grand Prize over her."

"I'm Seokkyung's best friend, she'll hear me out" Arden said with a small smile.

"Did you hear about mom getting an appeal?"

"Why is she getting an appeal? She got a lighter sentenced than dad! I don't want to see her. Never" Arden said and crossed her arms to her chest. "She weaseled her way out of the charge of involvement of kidnapping me."

A week later of the Hera Club members got sentenced, Mr.Jang was arrested and was sentenced for 10 years for the kidnapping of her.

"I don't want to talk about this anymore. I have to get ready for dinner" she says as she headed towards her room.

Seokhoon and Arden made it to the restaurant hand in hand, while Rona was behind them.

"I hope we're not too late" Arden said as they walked in.

"It'll be fine. My mom will understand since we got Rona as well" he said and walked towards the table Ms.Shim and Seokkyung was at.

Seokkyung smiled when she saw the couple, but it fell when she Rona appearing from behind Arden. "Sorry we're late."

Arden saw the way Seokkyung was glaring at Rona, she decided it was best for her to sit by Seokkyung, so nothing bad will happen between the two. "You invited Rona?"

"Since you all are taking the CSAT soon, it'll be nice to have dinner" Ms.Shim said.

"What do you mean? Rona decided not to take it" Seokkyung announced and Arden turned towards Rona.

"What do you mean you're not taking it?" Arden asked in concerned. "You won the grand prize, that's an easy pass into SNU. You have to take it."

"Let's order our main courses" Ms.Shim said and showed Rona the menu for her to decide.

Moments later, Ms.Shim, Rona, and Seokkyung disappeared to the restroom, leaving Seokhoon and Arden alone at the table.

"Why would Rona not take it? Her voice is too good to quit singing all of a sudden" Arden wondered. "There must be a bigger reason behind it."

"You can try to convince her to take it. You're her close friend" he suggested and she nodded, standing up.

"I will" she said and started walking towards the bathroom.

While walking into the bathroom, she saw Ms.Shim and Rona walking out. Rona had Ms.Shim's scarf around her neck. Ms.Shim noticed Arden and turned towards her. "Don't be too long."
