Newfound Agony

Eteled woke up, finding himself laying on a bed in a dark room. Struggling to move, he managed to turn his head to see that the room seemed more reminiscent of a hallway. A never-ending row of beds went down the length of the hallway. Feeling drained, Eteled began to wallow in his own thoughts. Forcing himself to sit up, he felt some resistance, almost as if he were restrained. Looking down, now wearing a pale blue hospital gown, he realized he was hooked up to a life support machine. With an assortment of tubes and wires attached up to him, a beeping had seemingly begun.

Disregarding the obvious signs for him to stay bedridden, Eteled ripped off the tubes and wires and stood up, instantly collapsing. A flatlining noise rang out as. Curled up on the floor in excruciating pain, Eteled began to convulse and shake violently. With his vision becoming incredibly distorted, he wanted to throw up. With its insides feeling as if they were burning, threatening to disintegrate. Desperately, he clutched the side of the bed, hoisting himself up. Wobbling, he noticed how disfigured his legs had become. Constantly cutting out, like they had an unstable connection. It was almost as if they were corrupted. Frantically feeling around the bed. Eteled hoping, praying to find a wire. He impulsively jammed the first one he found into his wrist. Instantly he felt a rush of relief. With his vision partially cleared up, his legs became solid again. The life support machine stopped emitting the ear-piercing noise, going back to rapid, yet steady, beeps.
With a hand to his throat, and the other on his chest, Eteled heaved. His mind raced as he couldn't comprehend what had just happened to him. Again, he looked around. Connecting the dots, he concluded this was the same hallway Todd had discussed earlier. He remembered why he was here.

He had been deleted.

Letting out a sigh, Eteled let go of the bed, losing balance once more. Swiftly, he grabbed a hold of something, this time an iv pole. Giving it a good shake, he saw it had wheels. Eteled hoped these symptoms weren't permanent as he didn't want his new life to be re-tainted by a newfound tragedy.

Soon enough, he began walking, clutching the iv pole with his life. His steps were shaky, but he didn't care. Looking for a possible way out, he began to look for the hole. As he went down, the halfway got increasingly darker. Soon a door came into view. Behind it, Eteled found a barren room that contained nothing but a chair hooked up to a machine, a headset being fastened to it. Eteled was speechless. Was this the chair mentioned in the reports? His mind just couldn't accept that this was, well, real.

Fearing its potential, Eteled simply walked out. He was already in enough pain, he didn't want anymore. Walking down the hall, a devilish idea spawned. If he had managed to get stuck in this hellhole, how hard would it be to drag Austin here? Eteled relished in the idea he could possibly force Austin to live through the same endless turmoil that he was currently in. With constant pain seemingly unable to be removed. Perhaps it could be amplified with the help of the chair.

Exhausted, he went back to his original bed. Instinctively hooking himself up to another iv. Acknowledging it could never eliminate his pain, Eteled was content with them making it somewhat tolerable. Sitting on his bed, he managed to figure out how to pull up the Wii's internal files and developer tools from inside the Wii. Examining the code of the mysterious hallway, he figured out that he was right. Once miis got deleted, they were sent here, automatically strapped to life support. What he didn't know was that a pain value got triggered in their code, launching them into extreme torture upon deletion. Staying activated till the very moment they died. Additionally, the pain could be multiplied if the mii could somehow be deleted several times. The code was sloppy, seemingly made by an amateur. Because of that, Eteled managed to find a way to escape the hallway and go back to the mii channel. Questioning why this feature had even been implanted in the first place, as it contributed absolutely nothing from a developer standpoint. Still intrigued, he went through the electric chair's code. It emitted fake shocks to simulate real electricity. It would trigger the pain value on a mii, but its effects were temporary. The chair seemed almost shoehorned in with how unnecessary it was. About to close up the code, Eteled glanced at the tube protruding from his wrist. Not wanting to lug around the entire pole, he briefly went into the code and figured out a way to make just the iv bags hover, granting him full mobility.

Still in excruciating pain, Eteled used the code to launch himself back into the mii channel just to test if it actually worked. Then, he brought himself back to the hospital, discovering the hole to go back into the hallway. Running to it at full force, he crashed right into it. Confused, he threw himself at it again, but to no avail. Desperately, he kept pushing, trying to pass through for several minutes. His mind fogged while processing that he was never going to be able to escape the stupid Wii. In a fit of rage, Eteled repeatedly punched the wall as he couldn't blame anyone for why he was stuck in this atrocious world. If he hadn't let himself enter in the first place, he would still be in the comfort of the hallway. Sure, it was more or less the same, but at least he wouldn't be fighting for his life. He could have been living in comfort, surfing through computers, seeing future consoles, watching Nintendo grow as they tapped into their true potential. Now he never could. Confined to this stupid Wii, and for what? A little short-lived fun?

Austin was going to pay.

He was going to regret everything he had done to him.

This time, he wasn't going to get away, Eteled swore.

Immediately, he rushed back into the mii channel, seeing the bland mii just standing there. His vision went red as he rushed the mii, taking them by surprise as he body-slammed them to the ground. Eteled started to drag them to the delete icon. When he finally got there, he shoved the shaking, fearful, mii in. Once they were gone, Eteled bounced back in the hallway, frantically scanning the beds to find the mii. Ominously, he loomed over their bed, watching as they struggled to breathe. "First time getting deleted, huh?" He taunted. The beeping of the machine increased as the mii began to emit moans of pain, its sobbing getting louder. Growing pale, with their eyes struggling to stay open. Weary, they turned to face Eteled, who did nothing but smile at their pain, his pupils expanding to the point of almost completely covering his eyes. Their breathing began spotty, eyes rolling back into their head as they took their final breath.

They flatlined.

With dead eyes as ghost white as their skin, their lifeless body forever bound to a bed.

With Eteled's grin threatening to cut into his cheek, he let out crazed laughter.

Oh, how he wished that was Austin.
