Ch.44 Coup

After reading the letter that Thomas had written to me, Alyssa saw my expression and knew that something was wrong, She asked "What happened?"

I grunted and said, "Some dumbass is throwing a coup." I then opened a portal outside the forest and Alyssa followed me in.

Alex was already there and I asked "Who is the perpetrator?"

He said, "She used to be the number two in Fenrir's pack… she is asking for…"

I stopped him and said, "I get it, she wants to be the leader instead of Thomas." He nodded. I just shook my head in disappointment.

We then reached the camp and we heard her voice "He promised us freedom but we are just living under a new tyrant, who is nothing but a puppet of those wizards." As soon as people saw me they started to make way, she didn't know I was there she still continued "He tells us to slave away while they live in their mansions, living their lives in luxury. He tells us…"

We reached the front of the clown show and we found that Thomas was there as well he asked "Are you going to do something?" As soon as the people behind the women saw my face they immediately started to leave.

I said, "Oh, yeah, I am just waiting for a good opportunity."

She then saw me and had cold sweat on her forehead and a sense of terror drowned her. She looked behind her and found No one was there then she looked at me.

I smiled and said "What? Go on tell me what else has Thomas commanded, go on" Alyssa giggled and I turned to her and smiled and said, "Not, nice Alyssa, she is trying to say something." I turned to her and said, "Continued."

She then cleared her throat and looked towards me and said "He makes us… He makes us, he, he."

I then said "What happened? Nothing left to say?"

She then snarled and said "Shut up you twat, it is because you, I have lost everything." She started to break down and said "you took everything away from me…"

I said, "I apologise but this little speech you were giving has some truth to it." She then looked at me and I placed my wand on my throat and said "Listen well, I am the one who defeated Fenrir and that is why you are under a 'new regime' ". People then started to murmur

I continued "It is because of us, you have a work where you protect people from the criminal scum. It is because of us your's children's sleep with a full stomach."

The woman was now looking at me and then saw the mob they were now giving her a scorn look she then looked at me and I continued "It is because of us you can go and work because you know that we are here protecting your family when you are not here.

It is because of us you have some sense of dignity, it is because of us you are safe from other wizards who see you as nothing but as monsters, so yes, we have taken you under a new regime… I am not guilty of doing whatever I had done to free you, people." There were deafening cheers of people, the woman looked at me and I continued "But people I am guilty of something…" The crowd was now confused and I said "I am guilty that I couldn't do something sooner and I am guilty that I couldn't do more for you."

The people turned on her in an instant, the mob was ready to kill her at any moment and she looked at me was perplexed and I said to the crowd "You are good people I can't force you all to stain your hands with the blood of scum like her."

Alyssa then came and said in my ear "Wrap this up quick I am getting hungry."

I just looked at her and shook my head and I said "We can't kill her and prove her right that we are that malleable, that we can be bent by anyone."

They asked me what to do with her and I said "I say we banish her same as her Fenrir." She then looked at me and was scared.

She then started to beg and grabbed my legs and said "Please don't banish me, he will kill me when he knows, please."

I then gave her a sympathetic smile and said "I am sorry, I hope for your survival. But I will not let anyone break my people." the cheers were deafening, the atmosphere was electric, there were tremors from their cheers.

Alex then came and I gave him a look and he nodded and then he signalled some people and they came and dragged her away and the crowd hurled some very cruel words at her.

After that, we went inside the tent of Thomas and sat down on the sofa and Alex also joined us and I asked: "What was she even doing here?"

Alex said "Well, she liked it here, it is safe from Fenrir and has a lot of food, but as you have said "Everyone must work for a meal"... Well, she didn't want to work for a meal."

I then asked, "What did she use to do?"

Alex then hesitantly said in a low tone "She was the mate of Fenrir."

I said "Ah, so I get what is going on. So did she try to apply the same job to anyone here?"

He said, "Yes, sir."

I asked "Oh whom?"

He said "On, me and Thomas, sir."

Alyssa was pissed and I said, "Why didn't you like… you know?"

He looked red and said, "I already have someone, sir."

I then teasingly said, "Oh, yeah go Alex, so when we are meeting her?"

He said, "I still haven't professed my feelings, sir?"

I then said, "Alex, I am giving you very good advice, always take charge, shoot your shot and besides you are good looking and have a good position, she will not refuse."

He then smiled and said, "Thank you for the vote of confidence sir."

Thomas then said, "Are we done with the childish stuff?"

I said "Yeah."

Thomas asked, "What are we going to do?"

I said, "We need someone who can draw out the Fenrir supporter and then we can take care of them."

Alex then asked "Who sir?"

I said, "I will leave that to guys to figure out."

Thomas said "We, will look into it. You should go home and rest."

Alyssa and I then got out of the tent and we walked ahead into the forest then I opened a portal and we got out of there. Alyssa asked, "Are you okay?"

I sighed and said, "Yeah, I am just tired. Everything, it is getting to me."

She then took my hand and I asked "Where are you taking me?"

She didn't say anything, she then took me upstairs to my room and then pushed me to the bed and turned on the Tv and said "Accio Ice cream" some ice cream came then said "Accio spoon" two spoons also came then tossed me one ice cream and spoon and then put on Star Wars.

I asked, "What are we doing?"

She then sat down next to me and said "When I am sad I eat Ice cream and watch movies."

I said, "I am not sad."

She just looked at me and I said "Why would I be sad?"

She said, "You don't need to be sad to watch Tv and eat ice cream."

I said, "That is the very definition of sad."

She said, "Just do it."

I said "Fine, but I want chocolate." She tossed me the chocolate and I said "Remind me why did we even buy pistachio?"

She sat down next to me and said, "I don't know."

We then stayed up and watched the three movies then we didn't even know when we fell asleep. I was deep in sleep when I was woken up by two very angry voices, "Wake up Jon!"

I opened my eyes lazily and saw Victoria and Daphne there, I was surprised to see them, I tried to get up but something was on me, I then looked and found it was Alyssa, she was still asleep. I then looked at them and then I looked at her and then I saw I had no shirt for some reason and Alyssa also didn't have much of clothes on either and I was now panicking what are they going to do to me but I calmed myself and said "Good morning." I can only confuse them, I hope this works.

They said with confusion "Good morning?"

I smiled and said, "Beautiful day, isn't it? What are you two doing here on this very lovely morning?"

They were now confused but then Daphne said "It will not work this time, Jon. What are you two doing in bed together? And where are your clothes?"

I laughed and said "Oh, we were watching Star Wars and eating ice cream, our shirts got dirty so we removed it and we fell asleep together." and I swear I heard Alyssa click her tongue I then looked at her but then turned my attention to them and asked, "But what are you two doing here?"

Victoria then said, "Oh, Thomas sent a letter to Daphne's dad saying you were a bit distressed or something so we came as soon as we could."

I then smiled and said, "I am very thankful for that." Alyssa also got up and was confused as to why they were there in the morning. I swear she will pay for this. I could have died because of her.

After that, We got up from the bed and went to the bathroom and brushed our teeth and went to breakfast. We were sitting at the dinner table and Victoria and Daphne had made some breakfast with the help of Jeely.

Victoria then said, "We should go on a vacation."
