Chapter 2_Friends?!

     "Dreeeaaaammmm iiiimmm booorreeeddd" Tommy whined as he shook Dream awake.    "Tommy" he groaned. "Let me sleep" he said drowsily turning his back to the obnoxious teen.    "But I need entertainment" he protested.   "Go watch the lava" he mumbled.  "Watch the lava!?" Tommy responded in disbelief. "There isn't anything to see except hot bubbles!"   "Your loss" Dream said clearly annoyed. 

   Tommy tackled Dream and pushed him away from his 'bed'. "Hey!" Dream yelled.   "Now give me entertainment!" Tommy said.   "Make me" he smirked.

     Dream started towards a good place to fall asleep at. Tommy jumped on him and made him stand up. "Take that" He said cockily.

   Dream struggled to escape Tommy's grip. "Tommy please let me sleep" Dream pleaded. His voice cracked as he spoke.

  He hadn't slept in days due to Quackity so he was exhausted. If he didn't have a mask his eyes would expose him. 

  "Dream...?" Tommy said questioningly. "Are you okay?"   "Yes, why wouldn't I be" he said quicker than he would have liked.

   "Dream" Tommy said more sternly. "Tommy im fine!" Dream protested. "Really?" He gave Dream a stern look.

   "Just let me sleep" Dream mumbled. "Please" There was a hint of desperation in his voice. Tears pricked in the corners of his eyes.

  "Clay" Tommy said concerned. Anxiety bubbled up in Dream's chest, he only called him that when he was mad. "What" he said anxiously. "What. Is. Wrong." Tommy questioned him angrily.

     "Nothing!" Dream said, his voice getting higher. Tears now freely went down his cheeks. He forced back a sob lingering in his throat.

    "Please tell me whats wrong" Tommy pleaded. Dream mumbled something he couldn't hear. "What?" "I can't" Dream whispered. "dream!" Tommy said exasperated. "I can't" he said flatly.

   "Why not!" Tommy protested. "I just want to help" He whispered.

   "I-I-" Dream stuttered. "Just Leave Me ALONE!" he shoved Tommy to the floor.

  "What was that for!!" Tommy yelled angrily. He glared at the other boy.

  A sob was heard followed by more. "Dream" Tommy whispered in shock.

 Tommy sat there frozen as his friend fell to the floor, his body wracked with sobs. 

  Tommy pulled Dream into a hug. "Im sorry for everything Tommy..." he whispered. 

  "I already know" Tommy replied softly gripping Dream tighter.

  'I'll never let anything happen to Dream.'

  'I promise....'
