Well looks like my shift is finally over' you thought as you walked over to clock in , clock out board so you could clock out. When you did that you went to your black SUV , and turned it on so The engine would warm up the car a little since it was cold outside. as you were scrolling through the daily stuff you seen this news article it was only a couple days old it.said.
'!ATTENTION! There has been an outbreak of some kinda disease in Florida, witch causes people that are dead to somehow.. Come back to life-'
you exited it because a lot of people fake these thing and you were tired. You had to go pick up your brother that was with his babysitter at her house.
The only reason you had a baby sitter for him is because of your parents ,they just treated you and him like trash and you knew your little brother didn't deserve that so you left , took him and all your stuff. Only at 16 running away with your little brother Andrew who is only 6 . but you have survived just fine. You got a job and have an apartment have every thing you need.
As you turned onto the street where your brother was, you noticed something odd..
It was abnormally quite for a Saturday night , usually there's kids running around or something like a party, but it was 8:45? maybe thats why?
You just forgot about it and pulled up on the drive way. Then you seen the lights were off , all of them were off.? You ran up to the door and were about to knock when you heard a loud crash. Something told you just to go through the back . so you ran and jumped over the gate.then you ran around the side and ran to the back door mat lifting it up and grabbed the key under it.
You unlocked the door and it was quite.the lights were still off. "andrew!" you said In a whisper type yell. Nothing ..you grabbed your phone out of your pocket and turned on your flash light . You rembered where everything was so you grabbed a knife for.some odd reason you just had this gut feeling you needed it. As we're walking you seen a silhouette so you pointed the flash at it . it was your babysitter? She was in a crouching position facing the opposite way so you couldn't see her face.
"linda? Where's Andrew what going on?" You asked but it seemed she didnt hear you, so you slowly approached her. "Linda what are you-" just as you touched her shoulder she spun her head around her cheek was torn open and she had blood running down her cheek and out her mouth she had this pale skin tone and her eyes werent blue anymore they'd were now some type of green and yellow, then you looked in her arms and seen... Her dog.... It was torn apart and its head was gone.
You stumbled back words dropping your phone, falling to the floor . She then crawled on top of you trying to bit you luckily you had the knife still in your grasp so you had no other choice just as she was about to bite you you stuck the knife in her mouth blood every where . She was dead... You were in shock but you had to find your brother. You got up grabbing your phone , just as you walked away, you looked out the window to see.. Literal hell unfolding before your eyes there was many people defending for them selves getting , eaten... But you had no time to morn , you had to get you brother, you figured he was upstairs in his " play room" . "ANDREW!" You ran into the room but you could not find him , but then you heard whimpering in the closet
You swiftly opened the closet doors , Andrew was curled in a ball and was crying you guys needed to leave " come on we need to leave" Andrew realized it was you he got.up grabbing your hand you picked him up not trying to waste time . you didn't look back making sure he didn't see anything , you ran to your black.SUV and drove off , Andrew was crying hystariclly next to you you gave him you headphones and phone. "It's gonna be okay kiddo i. Going to help us get out of here." He smiled still ruffled up he out the head phones on and fellasleep.
You had no idea what you were doing to be honest , you need ed supplies, food and water and ..weapons yes. Weapons .you had to get weapons,you probably shouldn't you thought but you did anyways you entered the Lott.where the mall was.you woke up Andrew the whole place was packed with people running and pushing and shoving. You made sure to get what you needed you got a heavy duty bag and filled it with food and water made sure it wasn't food that would expire.then the power went off. Succumbed in darkness you turned on you flash . made sure Andrew was okay . at this point you would've been gone but you still need weapons. So you swiftly walked to the gun shop trying not.to draw attention to you and Andrew just in case those "things" came back.which surprising there was a couple guns left and SMG and two Machetes, lots of ammo, and an shtgun and bow an arrows.you packed those into the huge bag and left. Just as you were leaving you heard a loud explosion. And your car... It was completely gone . you had no where to go.
Then you seen a motorcycle and coicidently there was two helmets. You hopped on the bike and put your brother in front of you for safe measures. As you were pulling away you seen these two boys who looked Like they were your age one had red spiky hair he was pretty well built same with his friend but his friend had yellow hair with a black strike in it.
But not looking back you drove off with Andrew wondering if you would maybe every see those boys again . probably not. You thought as the sun. Slowly came up.
