The servants brought their luggage in and he felt the familiar presence of his former home. Within the past year that he spent in Shinmachi, it became his second home. Both brothers received a hug from their father and when he arrived in his room, he saw his elder brother waiting for him. He smiled softly at him and bowed his head. Perhaps, he got accustomed to this gesture. Riku forced a smile as he felt like Hokuto was treating him like a guest in their own household.

"We're not in Shinmachi anymore, Hokuto. Drop your formalities." The older one said and he nodded. He looked down while fiddling his fingers. Somehow, he felt awkward with his presence. He turned away to unpack his things and he froze when he felt a hug from behind.

"We're not in Shinmachi anymore, Aniki." He repeated his words earlier and Riku turned his body around to make him look at him. The older one cupped his cheeks and kissed his lips deeply. His eyes widened, too surprised that he would be able to do that while their father was just in the living room with their other brother.

His eyes watered as Riku started to do the deed with him in his own room. He suppressed his moans and whimpers while holding onto him tightly. He was up against the wall and his legs were trembling around his torso. He lifted his chin and gave him enough access to his neck. His tongue trailed his fair skin down to his exposed chest. They were not in Shinmachi anymore and yet, they were doing it as if it is a normal thing between brothers. He shut his eyes when his warm fluids filled him. He felt his body weakening. Riku carried him to the futon and laid him down there.

"Aniki, I want to marry Itsuki." He whispered without looking at him. He stopped and sat on the floor without saying anything. When Itsuki told him that he has plans on marrying Hokuto, he couldn't believe that. How can someone who barely knows his brother suddenly wants to marry him?

"What if.. I want to marry you? Will you choose me over him?" He suddenly asked and the younger one sat up on the futon. He reached for the gold necklace he was wearing and caressed the small diamond pendant attached to it.

"No. I want to marry Itsuki. I love him." He confessed and Riku formed a faint and sad smile on his lips. Who was he to force him to marry and love him? He didn't want to see him getting married to anyone else.

"I love you, Hokuto." Those words escaped from his lips and the younger one didn't bother to look at him. Does he hate him? He fixed his yukata and stood up to take a bath because Itsuki promised to visit him when he got back home.

"Forgive me, Aniki. I can't and will never accept your love for me. We are brothers. We can't be together." He picked up one of his clean and fresh yukatas from his luggage and went out to go to the bathroom.

It was his first time to shed tears. He didn't even shed a teardrop when his mother passed away because of illness. He looked at Hokuto's luggage at the side and saw a small book. He flipped the pages and read the words written on it. He could tell how much he loved Itsuki during his stay in Shinmachi. Those words were for Itsuki. His love was only for Itsuki. He closed it and put it back where he picked it up.

"Is this what unrequited love feels like?" He asked himself while smiling sadly. More tears fell from his eyes but he quickly wiped it to fix himself and leave Hokuto's room. He closed the doors behind him and went to his own room.

The moment Hokuto finished taking a bath, Itsuki arrived. It was his father who welcomed him. He quickly went back to his room to wear his new yukata and the necklace. He heard a scratch from outside, so when he opened the doors, he found a fluffy white brown cat. He carried the tiny creature and a figure approached them. He smiled softly when it was Itsuki. He received a kiss on the forehead from him and a hug.

"It seems like Mars likes you." He said and Hokuto looked at the fluffy cat in his arms. He didn't expect that someone like Itsuki would have a pet cat. He snuggled Mars closer and Itsuki noticed that he was wearing the necklace.

"Would you like to be my husband, Hokuto?" Itsuki suddenly asked and he froze from his spot. He was about to answer the question when he kissed his lips deeply. He slowly closed his eyes and kissed him back.

Kazuma was about to call for Hokuto when he found the two getting intimate. A few months before they could go back home, he already thought that Hokuto had the chance to get out of Shinmachi if Itsuki proposed to him sooner. This would make him alone there if it happened. He took a deep breath and smiled. At least, Hokuto was able to find his happiness. He went back to the living room and his eyes widened when the young shogun appeared.

"How did you find me here?" He asked and he was like a stiff log when Makoto hugged him tight. He already assumed that it was Jin who told him where he lives. He gently pushed him away as he felt his heart beating so fast.

"I asked Jin-san. I didn't know that you would leave Shinmachi." Makoto said and then, he bowed his head when Kazuma's father arrived. His eyes widened once again when the younger one knelt and bowed his head to the floor.

"I'm Hasegawa Makoto and I'm here to ask for your son's hand, Kazuma." He covered his lips with his hand while staring down at him. The servants started whispering and gossiping. He asked the younger one to get up but Makoto didn't budge.

"Father, I will marry Makoto." He doesn't know what had gotten into him to tell his father that he will marry the young shogun. Makoto stood up and bowed his head once again, smiling widely at Kazuma's answer.

Makoto was prepared, so he took out the gold ring he bought at the jewelry shop and slid it around Kazuma's finger. He pursed his lips while staring at it. He couldn't believe that it just took him a few minutes in order to get engaged. The other couple saw this, so his younger brother ran towards him and gave him a hug. Riku watched them from upstairs and all he could do was to be happy for them even though his heart was broken because of Hokuto's decision.

"It seems like Kazu-nii will get married first." Hokuto smiled at the newly-engaged couple and Kazuma forced a smile. Riku walked downstairs and clapped his hands. They looked at him and Itsuki furrowed his brows.

"This calls for a celebration. This only means that I'm the one who will handle Father's businesses." He scratched his head and Hokuto slowly looked away, shifting his gaze on Itsuki. He couldn't tell what happened earlier but he was a little thankful that he had no plans on ruining what he had with Itsuki.

"I'm inviting both of you for dinner." Their father said to Makoto and Itsuki and they were thankful to accept it. Itsuki held his hand gently and smiled at him. They both knew that they still have a long way to go but they are willing to walk together through it.
