As I came back inside from visiting Onyx, I closed my eyes and breathed in deep. As I opened them again, I looked at the forest next to my house. It Was inviting somehow, some peace and quiet after all the rambling today. I had never been in there before (well... I might have but I wouldn't remember) so I decided to go on a little adventure. I left my bag at the front door and started to jog into the woods. As I entered I slowed to a walk and looked around, as it was autumn the leaves shone in all different colours, red, orange and yellow. I had been walking for a while now and decided to rest for a few minutes as I came to a clearing. I laid down in the grass and stared at the sky, before my eyes closed and I peacefully fell asleep.

I woke up to something soft, furry and warm next to me. I opened my eyes and saw a huge black wolf staring right back at me with big blue eyes. "Holy shit!" I gasped and moved back, making my back hit a tree. The wolf looked at me carefully and whined. For a split second I felt bad for him, like I had offended him in some way. He's a wild wolf  I reminded myself. Unpredicatble. He's so big I thought just looking at him. I had seen wolves before on documentaries, but he was like a bear.

After a few minutes of us just staring at each other, I slowed my breathing and clicked my tongue like you would for a dog. "Come here boy" I said quietly. He bent his head to the side slowly edging closer on his belly. "Come on" I said "It's okay, I'm not scared anymore". Suddenly the wolf stood up and jumped on me knocking me flat on my back, he started licking my face. I squealed "Ewwwww!" and wiped my face with my t-shirt and my hands. I carefully pushed him back, he immediately responded and got off me. Thank God, because he weighed a tonne! I started stroking his ears between my hands and he pushed closer, rubbing himself against me. I giggled and gave him a full hug. I smelt his fur as his shoulder was in my face. It was like lightening. I knew this wolf, I hadn't only met him today. I had seen him on many occasions but this was the first time I had, had any contact with him. A man also came to my head, a good looking one at that. He was tall and muscular but his name escaped me. His striking blue eyes however, did not. All the memories made me breathe deeply. I've actually remembered something! I smelt the wolf's fur again trying to see if there were more memories, but nothing came.

Disappointed, I tried standing up, but the wolf growled as soon as I moved. I went very still, it wasn't a threatening growl but a warning. The wolf slowly got up, his fur was standing on end and he was growling viciously toward the far end of the meadow. I stood up and backed away from that part, the black wolf continued to growl and stood in a protecting gesture in front of me. I didn't want him to get hurt whatever there was behind those trees, it couldn't be nice with Sasha growling like that. Wait! Sasha? How did I know the wolf's name? Was it even his name? "Sasha?" I asked quietly. The wolf stopped dead in his tracks and turned to stare at me with his deep blue eyes, silent questioning. He then turned around again and growled louder than I ever heard before and lunged at something in the dark. I let out a small squeak and ran as fast as I could back to the house.

I ran through the open front gate and gasped as I saw my bag shredded on the front door step. The front door was open, the glass of the windows smashed like something had jumped through. Something was wrong, I felt my whole body go cold when I noticed there was a coppery smell in the whole house. It made me want to gag. "Mom?" I called cautiously as I slowly made my way through the glass that covered the floor. The crunching of it under my shoes made me cringe. Like bones breaking. "Dad?" There was no answer. The house was deadly, silent and dark. I looked above me, all the lightbulbs were smashed. I breathed a shaky breath. As I came past Dad's office the smell was particularly bad. I opened the heavy wooden door slowly. I didn't want to look but I forced myself to. An ear-piercing scream. It was my own. My Dad was laying on the floor his face completely pale and sunken in. His throat had been ripped out and his stomach was sliced open. Various limbs were sprawled across the floor. I couldn't control myself anymore, I vomited violently and coughed, I couldn't even feel my tears. Who had done this? I couldn't look at Dad any longer, or what was left of him. I had to find my Mom perhaps she had escaped whatever happened here. I walked into the kitchen in hope of finding Mom "Please God, please" I whispered.

The empty kitchen made my stomach sink. I slowly made my way throughout the entire house. The rooms had been pulled apart and memories lay lost all over the floor. Picture frames were smashed and documents littered the entire house. Sobbing, I stumbled back to the kitchen. There was nobody here, nothing but destruction. "Mom?" I screamed, clinging to the marble counter kitchen top. My legs were shaking, I couldn't breathe. Black dots danced in front of my eyes and finally everything went black.
