16. Interference

Roxy POV

Throwing open the door to the locker room I charged over to my stuff, I could barely see through all the tears that were falling but all I knew was I had to get out of here.

"Rox? What the hell? What's happened?" Live asks rushing over to me

"Damian and I are over" I say grabbing my bags "here take this, take it back, porn it whatever I don't care" I say handing her the ring.

"Roxy what happened? What do you mean you're over?" She asks

"What happened is he decided to talk to Eva about our relationship and not me" I say "he turned me down based on idea she put in his head about me"

"Why in fucks name is he talking to her?" She asks "has he forgotten what she did?"

"I don't know and right now I don't care i just want to get out of here" I say

"Where are you going? Wait where's....oh my god you didn't?" She gasps "I didn't think you were actually serious about that"

"You know Liv, if I had been asked to choose between him and the belt I would have chosen him everytime" I say "becuase he meant more to me, our relationship meant more to me, so yes I chose him, and he believes that I proposed out of pity becuase of her" I sob as I break down in her arms "I would rather have lost that belt than lost him and I lost him anyway"

"I'm going to kill him for hurting you like this" she says rubbing my back "and after her promised he wouldn't, what the hell is he thinking listening to her"

"It doesn't matter they are welcome to each other" I say "you know for a moment I thought she had gone back on her word but she didn't, she said I wouldn't be able to stop her and how can I when she's already done it"

"Where are you going?" She asks

"I'm going to the hotel, I'm not needed now so I just want to be alone for a while" I say grabbing my case once again

"Alright I check in with you later" she says, I give her one last hug before heading out of the arena and into a cab to the hotel.

Damian POV

Waiting by gorilla my head was a complete mess, I was angry that Roxy would do this to me, would do something like that out of pity but at the same time I was heartbroken that I had lost her, my Roxy, mi chica, something I never wanted to happen.

"Well you look worse than when I last saw you, I'm guessing you seen her?" Eva says as she stands beside me

"Yeah and uh we aren't together anymore" I sigh "you were right, it was pity, she actually proposed to me out of pity"

"Wow thats low even for her" she says "I'm sorry you didn't work out I genuinely thought you were good together"

"Yeah me too" I sigh

"So any idea what Stephanie's announcement is all about?" She asks

"Not a clue, nobody is saying anything" I say "must be something big"

"Oh here she is now, looks like we are about to find out" she says

I watch the monitor as Stephanie walks out to the ring and the first thing I notice is the belt in her hand, Roxy's belt, the hell is going on?
Stephanie gets in the ring and asks for a microphone, it's not long before I find myself stood in stunned silence as I listen to her announce that the title has been vacated and a new tournament will be started to crown a new champion.

Why would Roxy give up her title?

As Stephanie enters backstage I make a move to follow her but Eva stops me.

"What are you doing?" She asks

"I'm going to talk to Stephanie, somethings not right about this" I say but she keeps hold of my hand

"Roxy isn't your problem anymore" she says "whatever her reasons for doing this they are not your concern"

"Maybe not but I still want to know that Roxy is ok" I say "I just need to know what's going on"

"No what you need to do is let her go" she says "and come out with me tonight have a couple of drinks and some fun"

"I'm really not in the mood, maybe some othertime" I say "Right now I want to find Roxy"

"She's gone" she says "I saw her get in a cab to the airport she is long gone, Damian it's over between you, you need to let her go"

"I'm telling you something isn't right about this" I say "she wouldn't just give it up like that without good reason"

"Damian I'm going to have to be cruel to be kind here" she says "you said it yourself she was with you out of pity, she doesn't give a damn about you so why should you give a damn about her"

"You're right I shouldn't" I sigh "you know what I will come out with you tonight, I could do with a night out"

"Great then I will see you later papi" she smiles "trust me you won't regret it"

As I turn back to gorilla I find Liv standing in front of me looking pissed, before I can say anything I feel the sting of her hand connecting with my face.

"The hell was that for?" I ask holding my face

"For being a complete doofus and hurting my best friend" she snaps "you going to have to explain this to me becuase I don't understand, how can you listen to her over the woman you love?"

"Easy, she was honest with me" I say "Roxy stayed with me out of pity"

"You absolute fucking......ooohhh you know Roxy is right you two deserve each other becuase you certainly don't deserve Roxy" she says "I know you and I know that in here" she says jabbing my chest "you know the truth, but your on your own this time, I'm not going to help you, but if you keep listening to her you'll regret it becuase by the time you realise the truth it will be too late" she sighs "have a nice night with Eva......you absolute fool"

Whatever the truth was I didn't care, all I wanted to do was get through this match and then go out and drink Roxy and the love I have for her into oblivion.
