At Aizawa's dismissal, nearly half the class jumped up with their chairs scraping loudly against the floor tiles and rushed out the door. Usually, it'd be kind of unusual for them to act this way, but their behavior made sense. It was the beginning of winter break, after all, and the holidays would start in just a few days. Students in the halls from all different classes and years tried to get their belongings from lockers as fast as possible, but with so many of them flooding the school it would take a while for anyone to exit.
The hustle wasn't much different in the dorms either. People ran around with their steps and voices booming through the floors, most likely attempting to get out of here as soon as they could. It was pretty easy to imagine all of them- suitcases at hand, unsureness all over their face as they tried recalling if they had forgotten something somehow.
I don't know if they were all excited about the holiday spirit, or if they just wanted to get out of here. Either way, I could tell all of them were looking forward to it. To finally head home back to their old rooms and spend the holidays with their family. To relax and warm up by the heat of a fireplace.
Well, everyone except me that is.
While my classmates were running around like headless chickens outside, I stayed in my room, completely unaffected. There was no point for me to get packed, I had no reason to go home after all.
My [Parents/Guardian(s)(and pets if you have them)] were out of Musutafu for the holidays, all the way across the country to meet some distant relatives or whatever. It wouldn't have been much different if I stayed at home, I would be completely alone either way. So, I just decided to stay behind in the dorms. It didn't bother me too much, though.
