Mollie woke with Lexie in bed with her. She groaned knowing her little girl had a way of sneaking in without being heard.

Mollie be smiled as she looked at her daughter. Lexie opened her eyes and giggled. "I here!" She said.

Mollie smiled and nodded. "I can see that baby. Are you okay?"

Lexie nodded. "I fine mummy. I just want sleep here. Cause it bigger," she said as she looked at her.

Mollie smiled. She held her close and smiled. "You're so cute."

Lexie giggled. "Es!"

***
Mollie was walking to the nursery with Lexie. She saw Isla and smiled. She saw how much she looked like Carla. "Mummy. Why you looking at that girl?" She asked.

Mollie smiled. "I think she's pretty. Like you."

Lexie giggled and grinned. "Me like being pwetty. I like mummy."

Nick walked over to them. He smiled and picked up Lexie. "What's going on?" He asked as he kissed his daughter's head.

Mollie smiled. "We're going to nursery. And Lexie is telling me she likes being pretty. She is a pretty girl."

Lexie shook her head. "No. Mummy is looking at that girl over there!" She said.

Nick smiled. "Is that her?"

"That's her."

"She looks like your mum."

***
After they had taken Lexie to nursery, Mollie and Nick were sitting in the cafe. Nick smiled. "You can go and talk to her. No one has to know who you are," he said.

"Do you think?"

Nick nodded. "Yeah. You're just a concerned neighbour seeing a young girl. Nothing wrong with that," he said.

Mollie nodded. She sighed. "Let's finish this and then I guess I'll go talk to her."

"Good girl."

Mollie sighed as she took a deep breath. She smiled. "Okay. Let's go."

***
Mollie and Nick walked over to where Isla was sitting. "Hey. It's Isla right? The girl Toyah and Imran fostered?"

"Yeah. Who are you?"

"I'm Mollie. I live round the corner from you. I've seen you around a couple times so I thought I'd come and introduce myself."

Isla nodded and smiled. "Not many people want to talk to me. I'm used to it though. Fifteen different foster homes in the last two years. That's not even taking into consideration my whole life."

Mollie smiled. "Don't you know much about your mum? Your real mum?"

Isla shook her head. "Only that she didn't want me. So she gave me up. I think I was two. I remember her. But vaguely. I'm okay with that. Not many people do want me," she said.

Mollie felt bad. She looked at her. "I'm sorry babes. I'm sure she does want you," she told her.

"Get away from her!"

Mollie turned to see Toyah walking towards her. She rolled her eyes. "We're only talking," she said.

"No. Leave her alone. Okay?"

Mollie rolled her eyes. "It's not against the law to talk to her. You know that right? Just remember. She isn't yours," she said as she walked off with Nick.

***
Mollie moaned as Nick pulled out of her. He smirked. "Well. I think that the first time was more than a one time thing," he said.

Mollie grinned. She was about to speak when she heard the front door opening. She heard it slam. "Oh god."

"What?"

"Mollie!"

Mollie got out of bed. She grabbed her dressing gown. She left the bedroom and saw Carla. "Hi mum."

"What the hell have you been playing at?! You spoke to Isla? I had Toyah kicking off at me in front of everyone!" Carla yelled.

Mollie sighed. "I'm sorry! She's my little sister. And I can't even talk to her? That's a joke. It's stupid and it's insane."

Carla sighed and nodded. "I know. But if we want her back, we have to do it properly. No contact until she knows who we are."

Mollie nodded and sighed. But she had no idea how things with her life were about to get a whole lot more complicated.
