It took a few weeks to get my results for UA back, when I did I shakily opened the letter. I pulled out the disk inside and a video started playing, Allmight on the video. He talked about how I did well and that I should be proud of what I've done, I smiled at his praise. Eventually the video ended and I sat in my chair with a dumb smile on my face, then I heard a knock at my door.
Y/n:Mom's not home yet.
I stood up and walked to my bedroom door, when I opened it I saw Yurei and he was holding a gift wrapped box.
Y/n:Big cousin!
Yurei:Hey Y/n, I heard you finally went through the UA exam. So, I thought I'd get you something.
He handed me the box and we went to sit on my bed, I looked at him before looking back at the box.
Y/n:What is it?
Yurei:Open it and find out.
I did as he recommended and I saw an award, "the" award.
Y/n:Yurei, this is the award you got for being the world's youngest hero....
Yurei:It is, now I'm handing it to you.
Y/n:Why? I just got into the school, I'm far from being a hero. Especially a hero like you.
He flicked the side of my head.
Yurei:Hey, don't think like that. You'll do great, if you don't think you deserve that reward than earn it because I'm not taking it back.
He stood up and started to walk away from me, his hands in his pockets.
Yurei:You've got this Y/n, I know it. Besides, you're already a hero in my eyes.
And with that he left my room, I looked down at the trophy in my hands. The design was simple it was a young man holding the world on his back. There was something funny about the statue, they got Yurei's hero name wrong. His title is Poltergeist but they simply called him Ghost. I smiled down at the writing etched into the base of the trophy.
"Congratulations To The World's Youngest Hero: Ghost"
I remember seeing it for the first time, Yurei didn't even bother to correct them on the incorrect name. He always was shy when it came to stuff like correcting people, he was just too nice. I stood up and walked over to a shelf next to the desk that held up my TV and had my GS5, a gaming console my mom bought me for Christmas. I smiled at the award again.
*TimeSkip*
I walked into the classroom, my necklace where my tie should be. When I walked in a tall boy with glasses was arguing with a blonde kid that had his feet up on the table. I quietly walked in and took a seat at my desk, after I sat down that boy from the entrance exam came in. His green hair and eyes were an immediate give away. After him our teacher made himself known as Shota Aizawa, better known as Eraser Head.
Aizawa:Yuei isn't a place to make friends, it's where you become heroes. If you can't understand that than you can leave. Now....
He stood up and pulled out the Yeui gym uniform.
Aizawa:You need to put these on and come to the track field.
We did what he said and put on our uniforms, when we came out he was a holding a baseball in his hands.
Aizawa:Bakugou, you came first in the entrance exam.
The boy that had his feet up on the table earlier took a step forward.
Bakugou:Yeah?
Aizawa:And what was your farthest throw in junior high?
Bakugou:Seventy meters?
Aizawa threw he ball at Bakugou, letting him catch it and walk up to the pitcher's base.
Aizawa:Try it with your quirk.
Bakugou:If you say so.
I saw him bring his arm back, he was really going to throw it with all his power. Aizawa turned back to us and started talking.
Aizawa:Since I was kid the government has tried to pretend that we're the same, but the truth is that we're not created equally.
Bakugou threw the ball, an explosion that was created in his hand sending it flying so far. Aizawa held up the device he was holding in his hand, it read just how far the ball had went. It was upwards of seven hundred meters.
Y/n:N-no way, I can't compete with that...
I looked around me to see the other students were getting excited about the idea of using our quirks in these tests, well most of them. The boy from the exam seemed just as worried as I was, which made no sense to me. I knew he had an insane amount of power, why was he worried?
Ashido:This is gonna be so much fun!!
Uraraka:Yeah!
Aizawa:So, you think this is a game?
We all looked to him, he looked sadisticly happy.
Aizawa:Well, if you all believe this to be a game, then let's make this a competition! Yuei is a place for people with potential, so, if you come in last on these up coming tests, you will be deemed as lacking potential and removed from Yuei's hero course.
This was the real punch in the gut, if I didn't do better then at least one other person then I would never be a hero. The tests started and, while I wasn't doing the worst, I was far from doing the best. Then came the ball throw, I threw it as far as I could but I was immediately shown up by Midoriya. He stepped where I was standing and brought his arm back, I saw the dedication in his eyes. He went to throw the ball but it barely flew, I was so confused until I looked over at our teacher. His eyes were glowing red and his scarf was floating around him as his hair stuck straight up.
Aizawa:What was your plan, Midoriya? Break your body again, be useless? Let me tell you something, your quirk means nothing if you can't control it.
His words started to get on my nerves, I hated the way he was talking down to this poor kid that was giving it his all.
Midoriya:B-but I-
Aizawa:Go on and throw the ball, I won't stop you but it's meaningless if you can't move after.
Y/n:Stop talking to him like that!!
Mr.Aizawa looked at me, a terrifying glare in his eyes.
Aizawa:What?
Y/n:I said don't talk to him like that... At least he's trying, he's giving it his all. Just like the rest of us! Sure, he may break his body but he's doing it so he can make his dream of helping people happen! He's a real hero!
Midoriya:I-I
I looked over at Midoriya his eyes were shocked but they immediately became resolved as he looked back to the ball. He brought his arm back again and threw it, launching it way farther than the rest of us. His finger was broken afterwards but he had the best score by far.
Midoriya:Thank you L/n!
Y/n:Huh??
Midoriya:THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME!!!
