It’s like she stabbed his heart multiple times.

Every plunge was so excruciatingly painful, and the fact that she did not care about his feelings multiplied it hundredfold. He could almost feel the cold metal in his skin when she kissed the one she loved; he could almost feel how his blood flows out of his veins when she would laugh and smile at a man that is not him. Every wound left him gasping for air, and it was painful, so horribly painful 

He woke up from his dream.

But as he remembered that it was the day of her marriage to his best friend, he realized that the pain he felt from his dream was not so painful after all.
