The scenario for this one was hard to think of on my own, so I'd like to thank RorTheShackY for their help. Also there are a lot of time skips (like 7, ...maybe) and this is pretty long, so I apologize. I hope you enjoy it, though.

3rd Person POV

Silence.

It filled the whole hallway, where everyone sat, except for the sound of shouting and yelling from the bar. Usually the atmosphere is filled with laughter, anger and sarcastic jokes.
But it was different this time, since our last mission was a bust. I blame myself for trying to help. And It's part of the reason why there's nothing going on right now. I look up from the ground to see Mylo side-glaring me. I quickly send one back as I stand up straight and march towards the roof, stomping each step.

I sit down, curling up as tears sting my eyes as I keep them in.

How did we get this way? Let's go back to our last mission.
The last mission we came back alive.

3rd POV

"You gonna get that door open any time soon?" Y/N sarcastically asks. "Working on it" Mylo groans, "Seeing as I'm the only one who knows how to pick locks, I suggest--" He's interupted by Vi kicking the door open, making his lockpick fall out of his hand. Mylo stares as Vi walks in, with Claggor following. Y/N walks after, hitting Mylo's head, "Slowpoke..." they muttered as Powder walks in after them. "Animals." Mylo mutters, rubbing his head. The crew takes a look around the room, each looking at different stuff. Y/N and Mylo approach a desk, "You know, Claggor, for once You're right. We are definitely not supposed to be here."

Y/N walks further along the desk, finding three little trinkets. They carefully inspect them before tossing them in the bag. They look up seeing Mylo dumps the same thing. He gives a small smile making Y/N return it. Their moment gets interupted as Claggor dumps a whole drawer of them. Y/N walks off as Mylo glares at Claggor, making him shrug. "Woah, I think this is a real Valdiani" Powder exclaims, softly. Y/N walks over as Powder opens it, making it play a soft melody. "It's beautiful, Powder".

"Oh, yeah?" Mylo snarks, making both girls turn. "What about this?" He pulls out a device with small claws, making both girls unfazed. "That's a nose hair trimmer" Powder informs him, making Y/N snort. "Keep an eye out for anything that looks valuable, you two" Vi instructs them. "Before Mylo fills the bag with Junk" Y/N finishes, making Mylo freeze and throw the trimmer away. He looks around the desk before noticing a lump under some papers. He shoves them away, uncovering a triangular device with strange symbols and a small glowing stone. "Uh... guys?" Mylo calls out, making Claggor and Vi come up behind him.

"Wait, Vi, how the hell did we find this place?" Claggor asks as Mylo softly touches the stone, making it spark. "It was a tip from Little Man." She answers. "Little Man?" Mylo's eyes widen as Vi storms off, "Just leave it". Y/N walks around the corner noticing more rooms, "Powder, look" Powder follows them as the rest of the gang is distracted. "How can anyone have so much stuff?" Claggor asks. "Simple, just get born lucky" Mylo responds, turning around. "Am I right, Y/-" he pauses noticing they're not in the room.

Y/N and Powder go further down the hallway, until they reached the last door. Y/N opens it, matching to a desk as Powder looks around the room. "Powder" Powder looks at Y/N noticing something in their hand. "Keep it, you have more pockets than me, anyway." They smirk, making Powder smile as she takes it. Y/N grabs a book from a higher shelf, checking the inside. Powder looks around, noticing the sandwiches. "Woohoo!" She quietly cheers, making Y/N turn, slamming the book. Powder grabs the two sandwiches, giving one to Y/N. They both take a bite as they look around a smaller desk. Powder pulls away a large blueprint, revealing a large chest. "Hold on, Pow" Y/N looks around the chest, before pressing at the sides, making the chest rattle. As the chest opens, Powder and Y/N gasp as more stones appear.
