"Stop calling me sir, it makes me feel old!"

"O-okay, I apologise..."

The younger male stood up and walked over to Schlatt nervously. He sat down at the table and looked at the man.

"I have a surprise for you."

"What is it?"

"Just wait and see."

How peculiar. Schlatt stood up and started to walk out to the stage. He motioned for Y/N to follow him, which he did. Schlatt stood centre stage and Y/N stood at the back, in the shadows. The taller man banged his fist on the mic and leaned down to speak.

"Can all residents of Manberg gather at the stage for an announcement!"

His voice boomed through the speakers placed throughout the nation. Within a few minutes, everyone was looking up at him from the town plaza. He tapped on the mic quickly to check if it was working before he cleared his throat.

"Y/N L/N, can you please come forward?" Schlatt asked, looking back at the male.

Y/N edged his way to the front of the stage cautiously. He stood next to Schlatt and tried not to show his fear. Unexpectedly, Schlatt turned to him and got down on one knee. He pulled out a small back box from his pocket and the reality of the situation dawned on Y/N.

"Will you marry me, Y/N L/N?" Schlatt asked.

Y/N wanted to decline but there seemed to be a hint of malice in the other man's eyes. Everyone was looking at them. Some were happy that Schlatt had finally gotten over his late lover, and some were worried about the toxic relationships he'd had in the past.

"We're waiting," Schlatt whispered, quiet enough for the microphone to not pick it up.

Y/N gulped and looked out at the crowd. Some were shaking their heads at him but others were nodding. He turned back to Schlatt.

"Yes..."
