the sun shone out of asdas window. he woke up and rubbed his eyes. the whysteria that stood tall outside of his window grew overnight, shadowing through the curtains. the small man stood up and slipped into his work clothes. he checked his phone, a new message from lidl, his best friend. 'don't be late for work again today, sainsbury has it out for you!!' asda knew she meant it in a jokey way, but asda was sincerely scared of his boss.
sainsbury was a tall, judgy, solemn man. he was a reserved and respected person in the industry, being the owner of a large chain of supermarkets. people often thought that this was too much for one person, but not sainsbury. that does not mean that he wasn't always tired. sainsbury would come home at late hours of the night, never having time for himself. every day he worked overtime, but he never showed that anything was wrong.
sainsbury was crude, and he would seldom show emotion. par to common knowledge, sainsbury had a soft spit for one of his employees. he had a small crush on him, but was fearful that the man hated him. sometimes he thought he was going too hard on him. but he was not only the boss of a supermarket, so he had to remain his composure when he saw him.asda brushed his teeth after greedily gobbling multiple rounds of buttered toast. he turned the ignition in his car and speeded towards the supermarket. his manager, sainsbury, was adjusting his sleeves at the door of the mart, his stern eyes focused on the distance. asda followed his gaze into the car park, where a few sleek cars were parked. sainsbury noticed asda standing there, and nodded. asda tilted his head to the cars, "are they sponsors or..?" sainsbury smirked with no supplying emotion.
"no. supervisors, for me." asda couldn't help but blush. although sainsbury wasn't smiling with any emotion, it was the most emotion he could get out of a strict man like sainsbury. asda jogged over to sainsbury and bowed, before entering the workplace. lidl was there already, sitting in the staff room.
"helloo~ you're early. you're on cashier duty today love, sorry~" lidl smiled a cheeky grin, and winked. asda sighed, as he clipped on a nametag.
"why do you always give me the cashier duty? it's always me who has to do it!" lidl snaked his way over to asda and hugged him lightly.
"i already apologised darling, i am sorry~ besides, i saw an adorable guy who came here yesterday, i need to be around the store to 'help' him, if you know what i mean.."
"you are positively gross."
"i meant if he needs help shopping, or finding anything. he doesn't look as though he's from around here. get your mind," she flicked his forehead, "out of the gutter!" asda rubbed his forehead and left the room, positioning himself behind a counter.sainsbury walked in the room, his clothes immaculate, his uair slicked back and a stern expression on his face, as per usual.
