It was the second of January as Kate was returning home from spending Christmas and New Years with Clint and his family. Kate still had some issues to clear up with her mom now being in jail and their home being left with no one in it. "Don't worry Lucky. Soon we will be at home and have nothing to worry about. Actually, that's a lie we might have some legal stuff to solve," she said patting Lucky on the head. Walking down the streets of the city seemed to be more stressful now as someone could always be targeting her especially since she didn't know anything about Kingpin. Taking a deep breath, she kept walking until they reached their destination which seemed to have an unexpected group of visitors. "Are you Kate Bishop?" a woman in a SHIELD outfit asked as she nodded a bit. "Am I in trouble?" Kate asked as the agent chuckled a bit before offering a handshake. "My name is Maria Hill, and as you can tell I work for SHIELD. Recently you teamed with Clint Barton am I correct?" she asked as Kate nodded a bit. "I wouldn't say work. It was just like two best friends helping each other out," Kate said as Maria raised an eyebrow. "I didn't know Barton had any friends," she said as Kate shrugged. "Did he ask you all to come here or is this an unrelated thing?" she asked as a couple more agents walked past Maria giving her a nod. "Over the next few weeks SHIELD will be keeping a close eye on you. If you run into Wilson Fisk, Yelena Belova, or Maya Lopez you call us. Don't try to fight them," Maria said as Kate looked down at her phone. "Do I need to ask for the number.... or did you all just do the government hack into thing?" she asked as Maria gave her a thumbs up. "Hey if I ever wanted to try and join SHIELD how would I do that?" Kate asked as Maria walked past her. "Trust me kid you don't want to do this," she said as Kate sighed knowing Clint probably told them all about her. "He gave me the name Hawkeye," she spoke up as Maria turned back looking at her. "Natasha would have liked you too," she said before walking out of the room. "Well Lucky I guess it is just me and you now," Kate said petting her pizza loving dog. Walking over to the dining room she sighed remembering how this place used to be full of smiles, but now it just reminded her how it was now gone. Taking a seat, she laid her head down on the table as it was just a question of what now.

---Flashback---

"You understand that with this name you are taking up a huge responsibility? It's never too late to back out now," Clint Barton said as Kate nodded a bit. "Being Hawkeye is all I ever wanted since I saw you fighting those aliens," she said as he handed her a bow case. "I didn't know we were getting each other gifts. I wouldn't even know what to get you. Maybe a tool belt so you could carry extra stuff," she mumbled on as Clint stuck his hand up. "Just open the case," he said as she nodded a bit before peaking in the case. "No way.... You are serious?" she asked as he nodded a bit. "It was the one I used in that fight in New York, and I just figured you could use it now," he said as Kate just looked at it too shocked to even speak. "The accessories for it is inside, but I just figured I'd give you the bow out here," he said looking out to the field. "This thing should be in a museum not with me," Kate said trying to hand the case back to him. "I think that bow belongs in the hands of Hawkeye, and as of now that is you," he said smiling a bit as suddenly she hugged him. Clint nodded a bit as he patted her back twice. "Thank you, Clint. I couldn't have done this without you," she said. "Just remember than when you get back to the city you know your limits. You aren't invincible," he said as she looked out to the field nodding a bit.

--- End of Flashback---

Meanwhile Eleanor Bishop was dealing with a different issue as she was looking for someone to take her case. "Miss Bishop, your case is one I am interested in, but I'm not sure if it is one, I am willing to take," Matt Murdock said as he gave her a reassuring smile. "If it is a money thing, I am willing to pay whatever it takes. I'm sure your associate here is more willing to negotiate. What was it again, Mr. Nelson?" Eleanor asked as Foggy nodded. "We are just worried that representing someone so controversial, and with the possibility of losing would do damage we may not be able to recover our image," Foggy stated as Eleanor nodded a bit. "You all would represent Frank Castle, but not me? Seems like you all may not have your head on straight," she said as Matt chuckled a bit. "Our case with Frank Castle was a little different than yours, and on that note. Ma'am you can find another lawyer," he said standing up. "You'll regret your decision Murdock," she said as he turned away beginning to walk to the door. "I guess I'll just have to learn to live with that," he said as they exited the room. "You know for someone who wanted a lawyer so bad she didn't know how to talk," Foggy said making Matt chuckle a bit. Before Matt could respond the television caught his ear. "Today, Wilson Fisk is set to leave the hospital after surviving a gun shot that would have killed any other man," the reporter said as Matt would remember that.
