Y/N hummed a tune GLaDOS taught him as he was packing his bag.

GLaDOS: Remember to eat your vegetables, Y/N.

Y/N: I know.

GLaDOS: And remember to change your clothes everyday.

Y/N: Yes ma'am.

GLaDOS: And remember...

Y/N: To keep an optic on my prosthetics. I know Mama GLaDOS.

GLaDOS: I just worry about you. This is the first time you'll be out on your own.

Y/N: Well, at least I'll have Kevin with me.

GLaDOS: I'm sorry Y/N, but your Companion Cube must stay here.

Y/N: Well, Crap Baskets.

GLaDOS: *Chuckles* I know, but he won't be able to qualify as a student. By the way, I have a gift for you.

A package floated down from the ceiling via a parachute. After landing, Y/N opened it and his eyes widened. A huge grin slowly crept over his face.

Y/N: Just what I always wanted.

GLaDOS: One last thing, I have detected several anomalies over other parts of the Emerald Forest.

Y/N: I'll download the data to my optic and take a look at it before I leave.

A hologram appeared from Y/N's eye and showed the Emerald Forest.

Y/N: These appear to be cracks in reality. Invisible to the human eye, but since I'm part machine, I should be able to see them. I wonder where they lead.

Y/N got up with his bag and new gift in hand and started to walk to the "Speed Launcher" as he called it.

GLaDOS: By the way, I have some great news. My new body should be done by tomorrow.

Y/N: That's great! Maybe you'll get to see me get enrolled.

GLaDOS: I wouldn't miss it for anything, my son.

Y/N carefully stepped on the long platform covered in orange gel. A portal opened in front of him, as well as behind him, allowing an "infinite" path.

GLaDOS: Now, when you want to visit, get in range and activate your Lightish Red portal.

Y/N: Activate the light red when in close proximity, got it. Although when someone says Lightish Red, they are usually referring to Pink.

GLaDOS: Well, that is why the Pink colored portals were discontinued.

Y/N looked forward cracked his neck before running through the portals gaining more and more speed.

Y/N: Must've been one sad day for some guys.

The portal he was entering then showed the sky and Y/N was gone in the a blink of an eye.

Y/N: Wwwwwwwwhhhheeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm going to get good airtime in this launch!

Timeskip - Cause why not?

Y/N walked towards the balcony and saw an orange haired girl staring at the moon.

Y/N: Enjoying the night air?

The girl jumped and looked back at him.

???: Y-yeah. I am.

Y/N Walked to the edge and sat on the railing, letting his feet dangle over the edge.

Y/N: My name's Y/N, mind if I ask what yours is?

Cassandra: Oh! M-my name i-is Cassandra.

Y/N: Well, nice to meet you Cassandra.

The two watched the moon in silence before Y/N broke it.
