3. What She Wants

I've slowly adapted into working at JMV. Everyday we were given tasks that I was expecting for them to give us. Sobrang iba ito sa experience ko with my first week with them. Actually, it felt like it was ages ago already even if it was only two and a half weeks. Madalas ay natatapos kami ng eksaktong alas singko ng hapon but there were also times that we have to stay a bit later to meet the deadlines. And it's not like we were taken advantage of kasi hindi naman kami pinipilit ng kumpanya, iyong mga gusto lang magpaiwan ang nago-overtime and we were compensated so there's really no losing here.

We get to learn and we also get paid.

It was actually really challenging. Honestly speaking, I'm still trying to adjust with the shift from being at school to actually being in the actual work setting. I never really had much practice being in the corporate world given that I was never exposed to these kind of things growing up but I'm glad that I was able to get a hang of it. It'll be my life for the next thirty or so years... Kailangan kong masanay dito.

Of course, being in my final year in college means that it's also a year filled with a lot of adjustments. I am already used to Luke being not around all the time given na ang dami nitong gustong gawin sa academic life niya but I am still adjusting with Jason being not available most of the time. Ang laking pagbabago iyon sa 'kin given na siya naman 'yung kaladkarin kong kaibigan. When he came back from Boston ay kaagad na itong sumabak sa review for the MTLE. I already advised him to just proceed on taking the NMAT since plano naman niyang mag-doctor but he keeps on telling me that he's not feeling it this year yet, that he might even work for a while as a med tech after passing the board exam. Hindi ko alam kung ano pang klaseng milagro ang hinihintay niya because he's just delaying the process but he assured me to just trust him on this one, na alam niya ang ginagawa niya, although I think that his girlfriend might have something to do with it.

Is Venice even his girlfriend or just his fuck buddy? Maybe she is or maybe she's not, but it doesn't really matter because most of the time she's just a pest that you wanna get rid of. And I'm not saying this as a bitter ex, alam ng diyos kung gaano namin kagustong ibaon ni Jason sa limot ang relasyon namin when we were naive kids, I'm saying this as a friend who knows what's good and what's not for her friend. And Venice? She's just ain't it.

There's just something about her... Really. And I'm not just being paranoid. Jason already has a pattern of dating girls na okay sa una but then would become psychotic in the long run.

One already trashed his car after they broke up.

One already confronted and accused me of seducing him while they're in a relationship when she's just being paranoid.

And one even spread rumors about him and Luke being boyfriends.

Alam ko. It's too much and I'm just worried about him.

Kaya ang laki nang pasasalamat ko na wala itong pasok sa review center nang inimbitahan ko siyang samahan ako sa outreach program ng foundation.

It's a Saturday so I don't have work.

Although the Lily Da Rosa Foundation focuses on aiding cancer centers in memory of my lola, ay marami din itong ibang programs like providing scholarships, medical missions, and livelihood programs. Once a month ay may mga outreach programs kami sa piling mga organisasyon na benefactors ng foundation- today, we're at a home for the aged.

Hindi na bago para sa pamilya ko na kasa-kasama ko ang mga kaibigan ko to do charity work. Ever since we were kids and became friends ay naging mga volunteers na sila, even their families would also come and help out when we were younger. My family loves them as much as I do that's why it's always a good day whenever they're around.
