beyond time

Chapter 4

The last thing I remembered was my whole car flipping up side down into a ditch. I also remembered the cops and then I blacked out. I saw Sam at the hospital.

"Sam, is that y- you"?

"Dad! No don't take me out! Please, I just wanna see my dad"

I couldn't see much but I could see nurses taking my son out in the waiting room.

"I want you too just take a deep breath and close your eyes while taking this tablet. Can you do that Michael "?

I couldn't really say no or yes to the doctor since I barely could speak but I just nodded my head and just took the tablet. I think the tablet was suppose to make me sleep cause I felt really really drowsy and eventually I have up. The moment I woke up, I was covered in all sorts of wraps. I also explored around the room in bed. That's when Sam came in. Seeing him was making me feel a lot better after all the stiches and all the scratches.

"Dad? Are you ok"?

"Yea son, I'm fine. Thanks for coming, it means a lot since you could be spending time at the party"

Sam was suppose to go to a party and his friend was suppose to drop him off since I had a meeting and it was also a sleepover. I guess I owe him two now.

"Thanks buddy"

"Dad please stop. I don't like you being this sympathetic. Please stop"

"Hahaha"

That was probably the best conversation I probably had with Sam! It felt really good until the decision occurred to me. I think I finally got the guts to make a decision.

"So Sam, you know about my project at NASA right"?

"Yeah dad, the mission where other astronauts go to find another planet, yeah. What about it"?

"Remember how I said there were other people but me going on the launch? About that, I got elected for it. Actually, I got elected a long time ago"

"Dad that's so- wait a minute, so that means you are going to leave me and Freddy behind? Are you out of your MIND? You are the only one up have other than Freddy, I mean he's a dog and even your going away? Where an I gonna be? Who is gonna take care if Freddy? Have you thought about these factors"?

"I know. It's even hard for me to take all this in but trust me please for onc-

"No, you still don't know what it feels like to you? I always thought of you being with me the whole time and you always let me down! Actually I don't even want to see you ever again. Just don't even come to the mansion"
