A beautiful young woman was sitting on the couch leaning her head back with close eyes, a frown on her face and she seems to be in deep thoughts when an elder man and two elder women came and look at each other with a worried expression and sat beside her. The man gently places a hand on the young woman's shoulder bringing her out of her thoughts by calling her

Man- "Khushi!"

Khushi opens her eyes from her thoughts and looks at the worried expression on her father, mother and buaji's face she gives them small smile

Khushi- "Papa! When did you guys come?" She ask them sitting properly

Garima- " Just now. You tell us dear what happened at your meeting with Mr Roy yesterday you came back and didn't say anything?" She ask worriedly

Buaji- " Ha we were waiting for you all day" she added to Garima's statement

Khushi sighs and look down at her hands on her lap

Khushi- "What the lawyers said is true". She says and went in to thought

FLASHBACK YESTERDAY

XYZ CAFÉ

Khushi sits at a corner table waiting for Mr Roy ASR's former lawyer and legal advisor to answer some of her questions.

Mr Roy walks in the café and spots her sitting at the table with a frown and he sighs preparing himself for the questions she'll ask. He walks to the table and sits down making khushi look up at him with a scowl

Mr Roy- "Good evening dear?" He greets

Khushi- " What is happening uncle? Why can't I get married?" She went straight to the point making Roy to lean back his seat

Mr Roy- "I guess he didn't tell you. Your first marriage with ASR wasn't by contract instead you were legally married to him forever." He says shocking

Khushi- " But I signed the contract papers before you and Aman so how come?" she wasn't able to understand

Mr Roy- " He never submitted them after you signed them in fact those papers were torn to pieces by himself the following day of your marriage. He was angry but he still vowed to never let you go from him that is why on the marriage certificate was submitted but not the contract. I thought he would have told you after you two have solved your differences but I guess he didn't and that's why the judges have been rejecting your marriage applications for the last six months." He says

Khushi was shocked and speechless

Khushi- "He has disappeared for years now doesn't that have any effect on the marriage?" She ask hopefully

Mr Roy- " Disappeared but not dead. He only disappeared but he was never reported dead so he might still be alive which means you're still married to him" he replies

Khushi- " What if he's already married wherever he is?" She ask again causing Roy to look at her incredulously

Mr Roy- "The ASR I know wouldn't be married to anyone and you know him better I do." He says

Khushi looks down unable to understand what to do now

Mr Roy- " The only solution is for you to divorce him first and get married but if not you cannot get married to any other man as you're already a married woman and you might get arrested if you try again." he warns

Khushi just kept looking down
