A long day of school was finally done. Thank god.
My best friend Alexis and I walked down the hall to our lockers. Alexis's locker was the first stop.
"Come on, please wait." She said with puppy eyes.
She grabbed on to me so I just stopped walking.
We trotted our way down to my locker, which was a mess. I scooted all 24 of my sweatshirts over (not really) and found my bag.
My phone rang.
'THATS WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL'
I quickly answered it in embarrassment, I looked around to see millions of eyes glued on me.
Great.
I'm sorry I can't deny I'm a full on directioner.
"Hello." I said in an angry voice.
"First of all don't talk to your mother like that and second of all WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU THE FAIR STARTED 10 MINUTES AGO, MACKENZIE DO NOT TELL ME YOU AND ALEXIS FORGOT ABOUT YOUR JOB!" My pleasant mother screamed through the phone at me.
"Don't worry I didn't forget we're on our way right now." I lied and hung the phone up.
We booked it down the hall when we were right at the door of course we were stopped by Mr. Clark our principal.
"Where are you ladies going?" He said.
We stared at each other for a second.
"Um my mom was in a car accident." Alexis blurt out.
"Gotta go!" I said with a smile.
We ran until we couldn't breathe.
Finally we found my car, hopped in, and made our way to the fair. When we arrived my mom gave me a stern look.
"Mack, Tracy called in sick so you and Alexis will be working the kissing booth with Lexi." She said with a huge smile plastered across her face.
"MOM NOOOOO, THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT? YOU KNOW I HATE LEXI, PLEASE DON'T MAKE US DO THIS. I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD MY FIRST KISS I DON'T WANT TO KISS RANDOM PEOPLE." I blurted out even though the last part wasn't true.
I'm 18, a senior in high school for gods sake, of course I have had my first kiss.
My mom just shooed us off.
We slowly walked toward the kissing booth, a longgggg line was right behind Lexi.
I sure hope it stayed that way.
Alexis and I sat down on our stools. A couple people came into our lines.
"Yay for us" I whispered to Alexis.
We did what we had to do but I needed a break, these lips needed moisturizer. I went inside the camper (for employees) next to the booth and pulled Alexis in it with me.
As I put on my eos, 5 boys all in beanies and sunglasses came to the booth. As you guessed, they all stood in Lexi's line.
"Maybe if we go out there they will stand in our line!" Alexis said with a squeal.
"Those aren't any regular boys Alexis, look how hot they are, why wouldn't they stand in Lexi's line, they're so hot they could be One Direction."
"Can't be." Alexis says loudly.
Everybody stared through the window at us.
"We better get out there." We said in unison.
We sat on our stools but nobody came over to us. We weren't bad looking, what was the problem?
A few minutes later my phone started buzzing.
'THATS WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL'
Great not again.
I reached in my purse trying to find my phone, when I finally found it I turned it on vibrate.
When I looked up I saw 5 boys in my line.
'Alexis' I breathed out.
Uh oh.
