Middy - Diapers
~~
Iris had been busy in the kitchen as she was fixing up the entire setting for when Dr. Lee comes to visit as part of their monthly check-up which casually lasted for only a few hours or so.
Since he expected the House to be clean by the time he arrives, Iris had volunteered to help out a little, alongside High Max and Agile.
While they were busy putting up dishes and sweeping the floors, Iris herself was... obviously in a cooking mood. She worked away at the stovetop and oven, where she happened to have been baking numerous batches of pastries, ranging from simple and plain to unique and colorful. As she did so, her music had been playing through her ear buds as she hummed to the tune of her music.
Swaying her hips back and forth to the rhythm, Iris continued her baking of the pastries completely unaware of what High Max and Agile were doing."Why are we doing this?" Agile groaned as he put up the dry dishes in their respective places inside the cabinets and began on the other remaining dishes.
"Because we were told to do so by Sigma," High Max replied, his voice sounding a bit agitated by the lanky Maverick's complaint."If we refused, we will be deactivated in an instant."
Iris, paying no attention to the two boys bickering, finished her first pastry batch and placed the piping hot tray on the counter, blowing on them in an effort to cool them down. She moved onto the next batch afterwards and proceeded to ready the third tray.
Agile, catching a whiff of the delicious scent of freshly baked pastries, felt his mouth water feverishly at the sight of them while he continued his chores. He looked at the extra set of dishes and then looked back at the pastries, but also casted a worried glance over to Iris who was distracted by her music and her cooking.
The X-Hunter continued to exchange sly glances at the Repliforce Maverick until he finally tried to make his move and slowly reached his hand down to one of the pastries.Just as soon as he tried to grab a single one, Agile felt a sharp thwack hit him on the back of his hand, causing him to jolt back in surprise. Shaking his hand wildly to help it heal from the blow, he looked up at Iris and noticed that she had a serious scowl on her face.
"Don't even think about it, Agile!" She scolded lightly, holding a wooden spoon that she conveniently grabbed out of nowhere."Those are for Dr. Lee and the rest of the Maverick House when he arrives! It would be best if you would at least show some respect."
Agile recoiled and went back to doing his chores, grumbling under his breath angrily. It was as if Iris had eyes on the back of her head, because she turned and gave the X-Hunter a cold death glare from his angry remark a second ago. Before she continued with her baking, she walked up to an empty jar and proceeded to place the pastries inside, a small portion of them filling it up completely.
She then went back to cooking her second batch in hopes of having enough time to cook some more before the Doc arrives. As she finished up, she took notice of how clean the kitchen had been.
High Max was already about to retreat to his room while Agile sighed deeply and slumped down onto the floor. The counter tops sparkling like new from the endless amounts of wiping and the floor clean and free of dust, Iris smiled as she looked at the two boys.
"You did great!" She chuckled as she waved them off and they soon disappeared into their bedrooms. It was only a few hours until Dr. Lee had come to the house, so Iris had plenty of time to kill and went to go see what the others were doing. She always had a peculiar habit of bothering others because she would do the same to her big brother Colonel.
However, bothering the other housemates would have to wait. At this moment she was busy with her pastries.
