Ini's POV
As I stepped down from the car, I felt that wave of nervousness hit me. This will be my new school. It's beautiful, SS2 shouldn't be that hard so I proceeded towards the gate and was greeted by the gateman who I nodded back to. I walked down a footpath flanked by beds of flowers on both sides probably the reason for the awesomely pleasant smell. I got to a T- junction-like place where I saw three buildings each labelled "Junior Block", "Admin Block" and "Senior Block", it didn't look complete but what do I know?.
Soon, my mum appeared by my side "Sweetheart, sorry I'm late, your dad sends his greetings though" I just hummed and started walking towards the Admin block with my mum trailing behind me.
After about two minutes of walking, we sighted the principal's office at the far end of the corridor. We walked briskly towards it then mum knocked softly on the mahogany door, a faint 'come in' was heard and mum cautiously opened the door as we entered. Immediately we were inside I shouted a loud 'da fawwkk' in my mind of course, this office is mind-blowing mahnn, heaven on earth. the mahogany desk sat proudly in the middle of the office and behind it sat one of the most beautiful over 50 woman I've seen in my entire life, clad in a black suit with a white corset top... wait a corset top?? I blinked again to be sure of what I was seeing , and her hair was pinned tightly to the back with a hairpin that heavily spelt 'BOSS'.
"Sit down please" I looked around wondering where the ethereal voice came from ,until my mum tapped me and motioned for me to sit.
"So, welcome ma" the principal proceeded
"Thank you ma " my mum said
"so which class is she"
"SS2"
" Alright, It's in the senior block, I'm sure you'd have seen it on your way here"
"Yes ma"
"So uhmm let me walk you to a point where I can give.....". A knock interrupted her and she gave consent for the person to open the door.
A head peeped in before coming in and then I saw a tall brown skinned boy with low curls snugged in the school's white long-sleeved shirt covered with a black blazer and pencil straight trousers with a very small smile on his face
"You called for me, ma" Okay, kill me his voice is to die for
"Ohh Peters, I forgot that I sent for you" he then bent his head in respect
" Please, Peters get me your class list with their parents' phone numbers"
"Sure ma" As he turned to leave she stopped him
"Uhmm Peters , you are in SS2, right?"
" yes ma" that killer voice again.
Then she faced me and it seemed like that's when he noticed there were other humans in the room
"Dear,SS2, hmm?" and I nodded almost vigorously ..almost..
She faced him again and then I finally felt his eyes leave me, I breathed out in relief
"Peters , please direct her to the class"
" which department? ma"
She faced me raising an eyebrow in question and I said science.
" Alright, Peters please show her around, be a good host oo" The principal dragged her ear playfully and he chuckled lowly, his eyes creasing slightly at the edges. Okay uncapping that was heavenly, Then she faced my mum
"Don't worry, your child is in safe hands, have a good day" she said as they shook hands and we stood up to leave, Peters leading the way. As we got to the front of the admin block, my mum motioned for me to bring my ear closer ,and she said
